Destiny 2 beta will have early access for PS4 gamers; may start in June

The Destiny 2 beta has been outed, and it looks like Bungie is giving PS4 gamers early access. We're also given an indication of when we can expect the beta to drop.

I've played through alpha and beta and hundreds of hours between all the builds. I can't really to see how bungie improves the game. There's a whole lot of opportunity here and it'd definitely be a shame if some of the glaring issues from the first game are not addressed. There are too many games that have been raising the bar in their genres and in gaming in general.
I have to be honest that have stopped playing as of the past six months or so but I'll definitely pick up the original and get my sharpen my skills once again on this game, I can't wait.

As a ps4 owner I care because if I was an Xbox owner I would have to be waiting for stuff. Ps4 will offer the best destiny experience. Whether it's fair well that's a different conversation.

I'm not so sure about that. PS4 had many special weapons at least a whole YEAR before xbox did. PLUS we got to use and experience them before certain NERFS.
Playstation was the only place to play Destiny as far as I'm concerned.

I definitely care. It took over a year for Xbox to get some of the weapons like Hawkmoon after PS4 had them. Not to mention all the updates and DLC released early. I want that stuff as soon as possible. Has nothing to do with what system I have.

No updates or DLC released earlier on PS compared to Xbox. All Updates and DLC dropped at the same time. Only some weapons armor and strikes were exclusive to PS

I loved Destiny on my PS4 but I didnt like the idea that they locked content behind a platform.

Wrong, you've gotten me all wrong. I enjoyed Destiny on my PS4, obviously couldnt get it on PC as it doesnt exist on PC..... If I could have i would have got it on PC as i do with all my third party games. I get 1080p 60fps on PC why would I get a third party game on my console when its going to be 30fps? Destiny is 30fps on Ps4/xbox one.

Destiny 2 most likely will continue to be 30fps on ps4/xbox one cause Im not buying a PS4 pro dont need it.

Apprently people just dont get it. Activision, Bungie and Sony signed a contract before Destiny even released. Ps4 gets exclusive timed content and marketing rights to Destiny for the duration of the franchise. So guess your not getting Destiny 2.

If you would be able to play every game on every platform than we would only need 1 platform. There would be no competition and gaming would stagnate. But who cares right?

Also, yes I only game on PS4. Why? Because I have a business to run, mortgage to pay and my wife and 2 year old to take care of as well and don't have time for multiple consoles. Even 1 console seams too much sometimes because I just don't have the time.

Yeah chances are it will run at 30fps but on can hope. I don't really see the point in these upgraded consoles if we can never see what they are truly capable of. MS and Sony should have "Pro,Scorpio " servers for people with those consoles. I don't see why people who support these upgrades should be punished. Destiny is the one game that I think would benefit the most if it was 60fps at least during campaign play.

To avoid repeating myself twice let's just focus on PS4 since the same thing* can be applied to Xbox One.

By doing that you are excluding 55 million players that Pro owners can game with. I don't think it's a good idea to do something like that with a multiplayer only shooter since it's imperative that each player have access to a huge pool of players to make match making easier and faster.

*With different numbers of course.

There's so much potential here. The first while fun was way too repetitive and small in scope. This is a space game.. make it feel vast. Add spaceships, etc. Warframe has a few things Destiny could use and vice versa. I just need a fantastic space game to get my sci-fi jimmies riled.

I'm simply hoping they make it more like they said it would be. Destiny changed a lot from its reveal to the full release. It was supposed to have fully customizable weapons made from hundreds of parts of various rarity. It was supposed to feel a lot more open world and free.

Eff Destiny. I felt raped after I complete the game. No story or lore, just plain garbage and make net grab. I bought the game with the first 2 DLCs and I was still not convinced. I save my money and didn't bother buying the next DLCs. I won't be buying this crap unless the game provides and actual full game.

I'll pass on Destiny 2. After the lies and the way Destiny 1 was handled, I'll seek greener pastures. I know a lot of people will either disagree, down vote me, or debate why I'm wrong about Destiny. I'll give a short version why I gave up on the series:

The beta (saying our progress would carry over, then later say no; and saying how only pre-orders can get in, only to be told a day later everyone can join)
The Iron Banner incident with the Level 4 dominating, then Deej giving a BS reason why it was the case
First Raid still being broken in some areas
Nerf rotations for the weapons
"I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain"
Dark Below releasing as a joke (took longer to download than complete)
Second Raid being "the fix" for the first raid
Rewarding the lazy in Crucible (lower score/pts grants you better weapons)

I stopped after Crota released because I already saw the direction the game was going, and after talking to people who still play, the comments on here, and reading the forums I was right unfortunately.

At the end of the day I make myself recall that it is an Activision game. In recent years I find myself avoiding games from the big 3: EA, Ubisoft, Activision.

As a side-note, it's incredible that Rise of Iron is still $29.99. It's almost never on sale and the only other option is the complete edition which is more expensive, and pretty much useless for anyone who had all of Destiny through The Taken King. It was such a small amount of content it should have only been $15 or $20 max at release, and should be no more than $10 now. It's even more surprising with Destiny 2 apparently just around the corner.
