While two was more engaging and somewhat more challenging than 1 but 1 felt like an actual rpg to me. I got into the series because it was an Rpg. ME2 was too diluted with fps element for me.

I'll save you a couple clicks. From higher to lower score: 2, 3, 1, Infiltrator

3 is better than 1 lol.. I think 1 is better than 2 as well. Metacritic hath spoken though.

zeal0us3012d ago

1 was rpg with shooter elements.
2 was shooter with rpg elems
3 brought back some the rpg elements from 1but drop the ball with that weak ending.

2 was still good. It was confusing why they got rid of some of the best parts of ME1 but the combat felt better and such. 3 was boring imo.

I rarely find part 3 of any series interesting. The general rule I see is:
1 - great
2 - better
3 - fail
4 - revision

There are exceptions where the first is better like dead space and the 3rd is the best like far cry but it's not often in my purchases.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast187d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine187d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast187d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman187d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast187d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave435d ago (Edited 435d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
