The sequel Styx: Shards of Darkness is a proper stealth game, albeit rough around the edges, just like the titular goblin himself.
Speedrunner Tohelot shows off an intresting out of bounds skip in Styx where he activates in-game flowcharts to skip sections of the game.
Major Nelson: For the month of January, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will receive four new free games.
Hmmmmm, I'll definitely take the Telltale Batman series. Tekken 6....whatever....
Unfortunately they’re still on a “meh” streak when it comes to what they’re offering for these monthly games. Hopefully it improves as they get closer to next gen. They have a whole year to improve.
They’ll probably just go away with Xboxlive and the only way to game online would be with game pass.
Always put shit x1 games most of the time. Do they think putting a good 360 game makes up for it. 🤦🏻
Wanting to play some games that allow you to sneak around? Here are the best stealth games currently available on Xbox One.
Graphics before gameplay mentality seems the order of the day with reviewers in modern gaming, gameplay and level design last on the list of priorities, I guess eventually we will just have AAA or indy and nothing in between(middelware).
Games bigger and better graphics always gets a free pass or at least scores more points in that regard to the reviewers final score then the rest of what the game has to offer.
a lot of games aren't really games to be played anymore not in design, they're made into pretty looking gameplay trailers to hype interest at E3 and sell more copies later on, that's it
Teef still seems to be the gold standard for modern stealth games
I don't take any review of so called "professional" reviewers seriously now as they seem to all have an agenda and think graphics is everything and not gameplay.
I am very much looking forward to playing Styx: Shards of Darkness later today on PC.
This game is a true stealth game like Thief (1998 PC version not 2014) and is a most welcome return to an open world stealth game with no hand holding. It's a very open game so experimenting and figuring out how to complete to mission is promoted with the brilliant level design and mechanics.
