Call of Duty: World at War is bringing something new to the battlefield this November: drivable tanks. GamePro editor Sid Shuman got first-hand experience with tanks, and the rest of World at War's online mode, as part of the October 2008 issue of GamePro magazine. Here are the highlights.

My friends, now I only need to figure out how to turn on a 360. :(

I'm not sure. I've never worked with one of those.

If you see a "reset" symbol or "eject" symbol on it somewhere...try brushing it with your fingers. I think that's how these things work.

Infinity Ward left out vehicles in favor of a faster, more tactical multi-player.

Noobs.

EDIT: Um...they are. You have to choose the perks that correlate to your shooting style. What game are you playing?

perseus4073d ago

Right. Perks are SOOOOOO tactical.

...do nothing for me. Looks like they have dropped realism in favor of a more cartoon look. I will really have to wait for the reviews before I look at buying. Then I'll wait and see how many people decide to play it on-line.

COD2 is still the best console WWII game. On-line was fun!!!

Wow this was clearly written by someone who started following the Call of Duty series at number 4 and hasn't done his homework about what came before it.

Both tanks and War mode were fully featured in COD3 funnily enough made by the same developer who wrote number 5.
