"By overwhelming players with tons of stuff to do, see, and collect in a “free” zone, open-world video games speciously condition us to believe that more is better. The audiovisual beauty alone of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is liable to convince you that this is actually true. The latest entry in the storied Legend of Zelda series invites players to gaze at and traverse natural wonders as diverse as dry grassy valleys and slippery mountainsides. And throughout your adventures, you may stumble upon technologically advanced temples that walk, or tucked-away cities where citizens remark about the harshness of the landscape. If you sneak up on monsters guarding a road, you can sense a collegial expressiveness in their grunts, and you may wonder what malicious tales they might have told each other as they sealed shut the treasure chests that the game’s hero, Link, seeks to pry open."

Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is undoubtedly the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time. The visual and performance enhancements remove any issues that you may have had to endure with the original game. It's practically flawless from that perspective.
Sadly, the Zelda Notes app really brings the whole thing down. Useful features that should have been implemented in-game have been relegated to your smartphone, and using it completely breaks immersion in this incredible world. I'm only thankful that it's not even remotely mandatory. Leave Zelda Notes to one side, and you've got the definitive presentation of a modern classic." - Ollie Reynolds | NintendoLife

The composer took to Twitter to share that he actually stepped back from the position in July 2023, though this is the first time he has publicly acknowledged it.
This magazine has given a 9 out of 10 to No Man's Sky LOL, BEWARE click bait review
Very surprising score.
Wow, some afterthought reviews suddenly score around 6. I wonder why.
I don't know... I'm not sure this review is pro PlayStation enough for this place lol
Hype alone can cause scores like this. When everyone is giving a game a perfect 10 and then you go play it and feel it's mostly average, it's quite disappointing.
This game is pretty awesome though. I still haven't beat it but I did feel it didn't deserve a 10 for the open world/shrine stuff. Then I did my first Divine Beast temple and I was like, "Ah. Now I understand why it got 10's."
I dunno if I'd give it a 10 myself yet but I can definitely understand those scores now.
