Orisa is Overwatch's latest hero! She's preceded by Sombra and Ana. Wait. Those are all women. Are there too many chicks in Overwatch?

As someone who hasn't played the game, it does seem like there's a focus on female character more than male ones but at the same.time I don't see that as a problem nor have I seen people complain about it. Some games will have more men, some will have more women. Some will have equal among the two and others will have Androids :p

More female characters works for DOA. I mean, there aren't that many male characters from the game which could be named off the top of one's head, particularly compared to the female characters.

I don't play overwatch, but could name 4-5 of the female characters in it due to the media attention they get. Plus, they have great designs which transcend the game itself. And Mei is cute as a button.:)

In any case, it's a nice change from WOW where most of the story arcs are centered around the rather boring secondary male characters from past games in the Warcraft series, with most of the female characters just being ways to make those male characters have a reason to have some empathy attached to them.

I never heard this question when games like Street Fighter II, or Mortal Kombat came out in regard to having too many guys. It's time for women to have their shine, and folks of all genders just need to enjoy the game and all the characters it has to offer. Mehh, theres probably a light discussion to be had about male/female ratio of characters in online games, but if you got to pander or just want to include more women because many have asked so... just alternate between male and female with every new character. Rainbow Six Siege so far has had a new attacker and defender operator with every new content patch, and one has always been a male and one female. Nobody has been bothered by it.
