Jolt.co writes: "The first episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive people was very much a case of 'if you like the cartoon, you'll like this'. At the risk of repeating ourselves and, indeed, stating the obvious, the same is true of the second instalment. However, rather than falling into the rut of being the same game with a slightly different story, Strong Badia the Free offers a better paced (but also slightly shorter), more imaginative game that bodes well for the future of the series.
With the King of Town having declared a tax on e-mail in the form of sugary treats and Strong Bad having been blissfully unaware due to his 'idiot filter', our anti-hero soon finds himself under house arrest on risk of having his head asploded. This turn of events sparks a protest among the locals, which soon leads to every character (and notable piece of scenery) creating their own independent nation.
After freeing himself, Strong Bad sets his sights on removing the 'Of Town' from his oversized throne and putting himself in charge of things. In order to do so he has to pass through all the neighbouring nations, such as Marzistar and Pompomerania, convincing their 'leaders' to join the cause of Strong Badia. The setup works quite well as it simply requires impressing that character in some way or another, which is a satisfying if somewhat straightforward process."
