I use one of those creative minds units that looks like it belongs on the unit. It only has a 500gb in it for now but sooner or later i will just add something bigger.

I got a 5TB Seagate with tons of games stored away. Waiting for that Scorpio.

OC_MurphysLaw2754d ago

To me the WD 4TB Black My Passport Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0...is the best value interms of storage and not needing an external power source. I have a seagate 2TB...black drive which is infinitely better then the god awful green colored version they said was #1.

LastcenuryRob2754d ago

Picked up the Seagate at Costco last year when it was on sale $79 or $89, I forget which. Very good external drive. No problems yet and still have a lot of room on it.

Palworld is better, but Nintendo has$$$$ They can fight it all they want, but will absolutely lose. It is a blatant Pokemon rip off. I do wish them luck though.

RedDevils9m ago

Go check Dragon Quest you would know where Pokemon got their ideas from.

Profchaos3h ago

Weren't the wire models used in palworld ripped out of Pokemon in the end?

porkChop2h ago

No they weren't. That was proven false. And, again since people don't seem to understand, this is not a copyright lawsuit or about stolen content/assets/designs/etc. It's a patent lawsuit. So far all the possible patents I've seen were filed by Nintendo 4 months *after* Palworld released.

Profchaos1h ago

Then I have no clue what this is about specifically

--Onilink--1h ago

The catching mechanic patent was filed even before Arceus was released, I dont know which ones you have been watching because all the ones I’ve seen were before Palword came out
(Though not all have been approved in the US yet, just in Japan)

porkChop36m ago

The patent for the catching mechanic was filed July 2024 and granted August 2024. It was filed on top of a separate, "parent" patent that had been filed in 2021. Nintendo filed new patents and had them expedited just so they could sue Pocket Pair/Palworld.

On behalf of their money seems like the biggest reason

Kneetos1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

People want Nintendo to lose as a big middle finger to the company, but if Nintendo wins then they set a precedent for others to follow which could be bad for Nintendo themselves if they end up infringing on a patent owned by someone else

The one I'm reminded of is, a few years ago Sony patented something to do with AI controlling a characters moments in a game to "help get past difficult or grindy parts" of a game

Mario kart 8 deluxe had a the auto acceleration and auto steering technology implemented, so potentially if that came back for mario kart 9 could possibly open the door for Sony to sue them if it's close enough

It looks awful. RIP Bioware.

jznrpg10h ago(Edited 10h ago)

Graphically it could look better as I’m not a big fan of the WoW color palette but the gameplay and rpg elements look good. The graphics are decent enough that I can look past them if the gameplay makes up for it. In no way do I think it looks awful just not my kind of art style

SimpleSlave9h ago

Looks fine to me. Not super Current Gen graphically, but that's fine. Well, except for that hair physics. That's actually pretty current gen. But as long as it has a good main story, plenty of choices for the player to make and it's not bloated with crappy fetch quests like the third one, this should be good to go.

SimpleSlave9h ago(Edited 8h ago)

The reality is that aside from MAYBE Dragon's Age Origins, this series has never been that good. Fun, sure, but great? Far from it. So they certainly have their work cut out for them. And I get it. This is certainly not the old OLD - pre Knights even- Bioware we're talking about here and they sure are hell ain't Larian Studios. But if they can get close enough to Baldur's Gate 3 or at the very least Origins, then that's a win right there.

At least, when it comes to the Art Direction, this is certainly the most appealing Dragon's Age. With the second one coming a close second, character wise at least, but falling WAY short on account of being a half baked game in every respect. The first one being an abhorrent looking abomination, even when it came out, and the Third one being Good Looking but generic as fuck.

So we'll see.

Can’t wait for all the game “journalists” to start singing praises for this game only for gamers to find it sucks.

Dwarrior4h ago

Hope it does well.

Mass Effect ain't getting made if this flops.
