Would be interesting to see what percentage of PS buyers are PSVR owners.

Or simpler, what percentage of PSVR owners bought RE.

At first I was like "oh that's a good number for Resident Ev...... oh it's VGShartz... nm"

And they wanted 4 million at launch...

_-EDMIX-_1903d ago (Edited 1903d ago )

They said they wanted that in the first week? Are you sure they didn't mean initial launch you know within the first couple months?

Not saying you're wrong simply I don't recall it being an exact figure.

Regardless of company was able to ship 3 million within the first day which is technically sales for Cspcom since retail actually purchases games from companies.

I am SO happy right now that this game flopped hard! ROFL!! 1.40 million is a FLOP! The TRUE RE fans like me have spoken! RE7 is NOT Resident Evil 7 period!

Congrats to Capcom. They took a risk, and it paid off. Can't wait for the free DLC!

A risk of what !? tell me a risk of what !! they didn't even made a modern fixed camera RE game with HD pre-rendered backgrounds to take the REAL risk in this day and age .. how is that supposed to be a risk when there thousands of indie games does that RIGHT NOW ( its crazy how i think RE7 look like an indie game and far from being an AAA game ) , they took the cheapest road and made a first person experience which every indie developer does these days .. why is it hard for people like you to understand that this is far from what the series has been used .. it doesn't have depth , it doesn't have replay-ability and it doesn't even has the atmosphere and the music we all used to .. i'm so lost with this weird community , its like their tastes becomes awful all of sudden for this game and they are willing to blindly accept it based on the hype that sorrund it

It was a risk, because they could have gone the RE6 route, but didn't. They could have copied the RE4 formula to the T, but didn't. Sure, the first person screams Amnesia, but it sets itself apart from a gameplay perspective. And as far as atmosphere and replayability are concerned, RE7 has them. I played the game 4 times. Nice game overall! I can't wait for RE8.

its hilarious how confident you are in your blatant ignorance. go play the game, then start talking about it.

Shinox1903d ago

Its not my fault that you guys born with TERRIBLE tastes and doesn't know how to tell the difference between how to make a deep RE videogame in general and how to make cheap looking one like RE7 .. apparently you guys are far from knowing why i always bash this game , RE7 is like the prefect example of how a pile of crap considered a "masterpiece" to the eyes of those who praised it and those who still consider it as a RE game , every person who prefer RE7 over the original classic games is a CASUAL RE FAN which means you are no different than those casuals who already liked RE6/RE5/RE4 , end of story

It was a decent game. A nice change. But it did over stayed it's welcome towards the end. Could've changed a few things to keep it interesting throughout.

I hope the next set of re games keep to this formula. Beats 4,5,6 and rev 1+2
