Epic announced Battle Breakers, a cross-platform free-to-play RPG

Epic games announced a new free-to-play tactical role-playing game. Battle Breakers is inspired by '80s action cartoons and feature cross-platform battles.

Sucks this studio no longer does AAA releases. The new Unreal Tournament isn't getting the treatment it deserves.

I can't get over the fact that they are working on at least 4 to 5 games and all of them are in pre-alpha (ut) to beta and have no sign of ever leaving that position

Thats the current state of PC gaming, release a work in progress multiplayer game, have a few streamers play it, hype train begins, release skins and never exit out of alpha.

I wanted there to be a full resurgence of old school arena shooters. While Halo 5 and Gears 4 are successful arena shooters, I still desire for multiplayer in the vain of Quake and Unreal Tournament to be popular. Despite enjoying Halo 5 and Gears 4, neither title fills my desire for a throughbred oldschool raw arena.

Doom (2016), failed to restablish arena shooters on multipliable platforms, due to it's tacked on MP. I firmly believe Unreal Tournament, which was once popular on multiple platforms would be the best game to restablish the arena shooter sub-genre. However to due so, Unreal Tournament "4", would need a proper full release, something that Epic, unfornately refuses to invest in.
