Wrath of the Lich King World Progression with Phase Technology

This is epic and awesome. Using Phase-technology, Blizzard has done something quietly amazing to progress the story of World of Warcraft forward like thousands of fans have requested in the past four years. The possibilities with this new technology integrated into World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and future expansions are unlimited.

Imagine everyone, low and high level players, in Undercity having their merry daily activities, while at the same moment hundreds of players are also in Undercity phased from normal view ... sharing the same time/space fighting Varimathras and thousands of demons and Apothecary.

That's what's going on. The story is progressing seamlessly without affecting low level players. The world changes dynamically, and transparently with this phase-technology.

Be alert that what you are about to witness is the phase-technology in action, but also a massive SPOILER from Wrath of the Lich King beta. Thrall and Sylvanas come to Undercity to reclaim it from Varimathras and the Apothecary Putress.

If you were hesitating whether to buy Wrath of the Lich King or not ... what you will see in the following article will make you drool and wish to be the first in line at a Game shop near you on November 13th ...

Watch the six videos showing the Battle For The Undercity, and the quests and in-game text transcript. Heroes involved in action ...

Thrall, Sylvanas, Jaina, Saurfang, Alexstrasza, Krasus, Varimathras and ... King of Stormwind Varian Wrynn who invades Undercity ...

I'm not a fan of the game, but i am a fan of the lore, and this is actually pretty cool :)

Baka-akaB4074d ago

yeah cool , but too little too late .
This is the kind of things that should have been there from the start , the game BEING FRICKIN' WARCRAFT , instead of hundreds of go kill "localbeast x" quests .

I might even go to the dark side and try existing private servers or create one for myself , just to continue with the lore .

can someone explain why that wasn't the most boring video i've ever seen?

I used to play this game, i have 3 lvl 70s and now when i see vids from the game (trying to psych myspace back into playing when the expansion comes out) i just find more and more reasons to stay away.

there was nothing impressive about this. this expansion is just blizzard trying to hang out to monthly subsribers for a little while longer til diablo and starcraft come out. that's why they are releasing this one first. if either of those games came out before wrath, it wouldn't do nearly as well.

i think i've pretty much made up my mind about this game.

If you had played a single Warcraft game before WoW, you would care.

Honestly, nobody cares that you quit. Not even Blizzard. They're not even going to lose enough people to WAR to put a dent on profits, seeing how everyone I know and every person I've read about online that went to WAR still pays for WoW.

I agree with Spy. and Cheese, you're a jerk.

The bottom line is this game has done nothing new since the day it was released about 5 years ago. The introduction of flying mounts doesn't change anything.

This game is a money trap and just because you seem to think you know the lore better than the other guy doesn't have a thing to do with gameplay. And just because Spydiggity doesn't like your addiction doesn't give you any privilage to accuse him of not playing the other Warcrafts. I have played 1 and 2 and loved them back in the day, doesn't change my feelings about WOW. You don't pay 50 dollars for each expansion and 15 dollars a month just to hear a story, and then play it over and over. You buy a few books or goto wowiki.

and i don't care about your opinion about my opinion.

As a roleplayer, I'll have to respectfully disagree, though I understand your viewpoint. There are different values to gamers when it comes to their favorite games, and mine happens to concentrate solely on the social and story-enriched experience, which is why I keep coming back to the game. Things like this are what make my experience.

Being able to enjoy the storyline of the Warcraft series with friends who share my passion. Chilling with my guild around a campfire in front of Scryers bank and telling funny stories about real life. F***ing around with the raid bosses of instances that we have on farm status, without caring about gear or progression or any of that nonsense. Finding fitting music for my soundtrack mod that'd go well with my new skeletal mount. And showing off how much I love my new S2 Priest set (angel wings <3), regardless of how it pales in comparison to the new sets. These are the things that make my WoW experience. These are the things I love most about WoW. And this is how WoW is meant to be played.

The game sure could use combat music though...

Blizzard has netted BILLIONS of dollars from suckers like you guys that have played this game for YEARS.

Not to mention another couple hundred MILLION from people buying the expansions.

You're all just dumping hundreds of dollars into this game for the sake of killing fantastical creatures and learning about warcraft lore.

It's unbelievable what people will waste their money on these days.
