Lol, what vaginas? Penises are shown literally everywhere. Vaginas? Nope, almost never. Have you played The Order 1886? There were like 3/4 scenes with clear shots of penises. Don't you remember how Ubisoft had to censor a vagina in Watch Dogs 2? But no one said a word about men walking around with their penises hanging out.

Also have you seen movies and TV shows in the last 10 years? Spartacus is the prime example of double standards, there are multiple penises shown probably in every episode, but vaginas are covered with fake pubic hair. Or Rome and Game of Thrones? Both show close up penises, especially in Rome, couple scenes showed penis in an extreme close up for a very long time, while vaginas are always either covered with shadows or are shown from a distance for less than a second.

If a game is rated M for mature, why not, I'm all for. If nudity is an issue, wouldn't hurt if devs implement a filter option to remove an entire part of the game or add blur effects to the genitals.

Do people under 18 not have genitals? Restricting sexual content to post pubescent people (at the very least 14+) fine, but nudity =/= sex and nudity shoudln't even be a factor in a games rating.

I think it's courtesy to established culture. I think almost no one would actually be shocked on an individual level if their source of entertainment shoves a dick in their face, it's more of a cultural shock. Ancient civilizations had constant nude entertainment though, so we might see it flourish again in the future.

I agree, a penis is an external organ while a vagina is internal, the most we see in games is perhaps a gap between the legs? I have never seen a vagine with details etc in games or movies (well, unless it's that kind of movie). Hell, even showing a woman nipple is taboo in games, so I don't know, seems to go both ways.

Here's the thing, men are visual creatures. Generally speaking, men enjoy looking at the naked female body more so than females enjoy looking at the naked male body. It's the free market, basic supply and demand. If there was as much demand for penises, you would be seeing them more. And since there are just as many women as there are men, one can extrapolate that women simply aren't demanding to see penis as much as men are demanding to see boobs and butts.

I think it'll be up to mainstream developers to lead the way for more male nudity. Rockstar did it for a joke and to shock, but if it can be applied in games like Heavy Rain, The Witcher, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age, acceptance amongst gamers would increase as it became more commonplace, much like it did on TV with swearing, and nudity in PG13 movies.
Also, nobody has mentioned anything about which 'look' would be preferred, cut or uncut?

Different things are attractive to women than to men. For example men see bodies as a big focus. Women much less so. Different things are acceptable to women and men regarding their own modesty and modesty of the opposite sex. By no means should an artform like witcher 3 be required to be balanced regarding nudity. Beauty is an opinion and not a fact. If you have a different view, that should be fine.
