Kojima talks about creating story in games: I’m not very interested in multi-ending story technique

Kojima is not a fan of putting multiple endings in a game, he said in the online series The Game Makers, created by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.

And that's fine for Kojima's games if that's his thoughts on it. I do like a solid story.

But I wouldn't take games like Way of the Samurai any other way. The multiple endings in that story besides the multiple weapons made it what it was as a game. Love this game and those like it.

Yeah, for some games it works really well, especially titles like Heavy Rain and Until Dawn.

I def enjoy a multi ending game.

But I do understand why Kohima wouldn't want to make one. He takes his story very seriously so I bet if he wanted to do 2 dif endings he would have to craft almost 2 dif stories and increase his dev time considerably.

It isn't even meant as advice, he just explains his own methods and preferences, as do the other creators in the video.
