Mega Man 9 hits North American 360s October 1st , PS3 - Wii on September 25th

Capcom has announced that Mega Man 9 will be landing on Xbox Live Arcade October 1st, a mere two weeks hence. Strangely, the Blue Bomber's retro revival will be hitting both the Wii and Playstation 3 a week earlier (that's next week for those keeping score) on September 22nd and 24th, respectively. Why the wait for the Xbox Live Arcade version? Capcom isn't saying

And this is why you should stay in school, kids. Don't end up like this poor soul.

Otherwise I would have a few choice words to say to you.

For now, I can just shake my head in disappointment and feel sorry for your parents for raising you to end up in this situation.

You must really be extremely insecure about your console that because the one, rare moment that a game comes to the PSN before XBLA, you felt the need to troll this article. It doesn't matter if you own both consoles or not, because I do and I don't go around making asinine statements such as yours in articles that don't pertain to my interests.

You have been knocked down one bubble, and your comment has been reported as SPAM. Good day to you, sir.

In other news, this game looks to bring the classic gameplay that Rockman is so famous for. Here's hoping for controller-throwing difficulty, eh?

You're the most sensitive person on the internet.

lol, if you have both consoles then why are you so angry and reported the comment as spam, lol? Aren't you becoming what you hate? So what if a person is happy they get the game first it will eventually be on both all TV consoles. My guess is both of you are young, lol.

Where's the HD Res/graphics Capcom? I might pick it up after the tsunami of games coming to the 360 this winter.

Sev4073d ago

The tsunami must have washed away all of the good games. Because they aren't around.

AuburnTiger4073d ago

does this game even have a widescreen mode??

Classic games are meant to be played on classic systems first. Henceforth the reason for Mega Man 9 being released first for the two corporations that have had first place in the last 20 years. Xbox 360 is a mere afterthought when considering their terrible controller design for games such as Megaman 9. XBox 360's directional pad can be consideres as one of the most abysmal designs in gaming history and it makes a vast majority of their games practically unplayable.

When it comes to games such as Megaman, PLAYSTATION®3 is the most suitable home for the franchise. Upon release, Megaman X5 and Megaman X6 console releases were only found on PlayStation. Megaman X7, X8 were exclusive to PlayStation 2. Therefore the natural feeling of Megaman 9 on PLAYSTATION®3 will make the retro gamer feel right at home.

After Megaman X3 the series went downhill and I was a huge fan of that series.

that would make sense if the Megaman game was made towards the graphic oriented people but looking at what Capcom was doing going all the way back to mimicing Megaman 2(thier inspiration) i dont see how this game would even suit well on the ps3 seeing as how the game they mimiced came from a Nintendo game and they made it with Nintendo controls in mind.
Your right about the newer Megamans being on a Playstation but the old Megamans that are now considered classics were on the Nes.
