E3 Isn’t Disneyland –Things You Need to Know If You’re Planning to Attend

Often known as “Christmas for gamers”, E3 season is an event built around hype and love towards the gaming industry. Now that it’s open to the public for the first time ever it’s worth noting that it isn’t the big carnival like experience many are left to believe. As someone who attended E3 twice here are some things you may need to be aware of.

I like how all these press people try to discourage you from having fun. They think people will get in their way. I have been playing games longer than most of these so called "reporters" and I say your not my dad don't tell me what to do. My credentials and expertise is just as good as yours. So fu2k 0ff!

They aren't discouraging you from having fun. I've heard on a number of podcasts from gaming journalists that E3 has long queues and bathrooms that get pretty nasty. It really isn't a public event, they don't give out swag like they used to and a lot of the good stuff is appointment only in back rooms. People expect to go and play a ton of games and get free shirts and do things all day but it sounds like it's mostly waiting all day to play a game or two.
