GTA 5’s Ocean Is A Whole Lot Of Unused Map

Seems like a lot of open world games waste a ton of space on oceans. Other than coastlines there is no need for them. Look at this map for Just Cause 3, is there any reason that more than a third of the map is wasted on oceans and a Volcano Island??

JC3 has the biggest waste of sea/ocean area EVER! there is literally NOTHING in it, not even collectibles! JC2 had some collectibles in its waters but in JC3, water everywhere but nothing to do. GTAV has explorable waters and it's kinda cool

I think GTA5 had one of the best oceans I've seen in a game. I have a fear of deep water and I was legitimately terrified while exploring its depths. Unfortunately, it lacked wildlife. It would've been cool to see whales, dolphins, etc. More treasure would've been nice, too.

did you only play the ps3 version?
the latest versions of the game had wildlife in the ocean. whales dolphins and i think sharks. don't remember if i saw one.

I played it on both Xbox 360 and PS4. I did an entire lap around San Andreas in the submarine, exploring much of the ocean; I remember the sharks, but I don't recall ever seeing a whale or dolphin.

Just looked at some YouTube videos and HOLY SH**! How did I miss that?!

Of course it has sharks. One of the trophies/achievements was getting eaten.

Personally I think TvT. One crew tries to get a cargo ship from point A to point B and the second crew uses everything from speed boats to parachutes to try and board and take over the ship. Modern day piracy.

Also mini sub battles with armed submersibles could be a blast. Yes it is an older game...that still makes money because it was made right.

aaah, gta5... the game i stopped after a few hours because the feeling of repetition to the other gta's out there was overwhelming. such a boring game if you played gta before. but then, this game is still making a shitton of money just with their microstransactions. when i am thinking about it, human beings are deserving exactly that.

I love GTA5, havent spent a penny on microtransactions and theres no need to. You should mod it for PC as well, its really incredible what you can do.
