Nice, glad to see they are taking the feedback and improving the game even more. Keep up the good work Tabata and FFXV team.

-Foxtrot2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

Are they f******* kidding me? Where the hell was this at launch?

This could have made things more fun and made travelling less of a chore. Such a small thing could have made the game a little bit better. Unbelievable.

This game was basically incomplete at launch and despite these free updates it's still a disgusting practice. I would have rather waited even longer.

Abriael2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

"such a small thing"

Again the usual attitude that what seems to be simple to an armchair developer is a "small thing."

It's not in any shape or form a "small thing." which is why the car got stuck at the end due to a collision bug. Offroading is a TON more challenging to implement correctly than just traveling on a flat road. There are a myriad of items in which the car can get stuck, which requires a ton of work and adjustment. Which is why the feature doesn't even have a planned release yet.

What's "unbelievable" here isn't that the car couldn't go off road at launch.

-Foxtrot2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

No...I didn't mean it as "oh yeah it's a small thing, it's easy to do" I meant it as "a small thing can make all the difference to the main game", that's it.

Lets not twist things...

naruga2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

@Abriael ..Foxtrot is right ...these little details should have implemented form start and be available later in game as a "leveling mechanic" for regalia....FF XV feels very chopped off for DLC purposes ...annoying me as hell..

Abriael2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

@naruga: That's complete nonsense. A game that can very easily offer over 100 hours of gameplay "feels very chopped off for DLC?"

Please. That's just facepalm-worthy. The sense of false entitlement here is stifling.

Fishy Fingers2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

You could say the same about any game. Post launch games get patched, features added/taken away, new content etc be that based on fan feedback, additional dev time, whatever. It's called continued support.

If that upsets you, don't buy the game day one. You know what was included and you bought it. That was your choice.

God freaking damn it ! You are seriously need to give people some credits. Even I aware the issues, but at least Square Enix fix the game and give free content. Jesus Christ ! I remember Witcher 3 launched and it got some bugs, but developers already fixed the game right away and giving people free content.

-Foxtrot2793d ago

Witcher 3 was fully complete at launch. I mean the game was filled to the bloody brim.

There was never a point in the Witcher 3 as you go near the end it started to go down hill and it felt rushed, especially things not making sense. It was a full game from the beginning to end so when they did their free updates it was an amazing treat

Besides you're talking about bugs being fixed which all games do, not actual content.

Nyxus2793d ago

They're adding all this stuff after release for free and you're still complaining.

-Foxtrot2793d ago

I even said if you bothered to read

"and despite these free updates"

I know they are free, the point is they are features which could have made a huge differnece to playing and experiencing the game for the first time that they should have been in the game at launch. Which is then why I said I would have rather of waited for the full experience

You take the game for what it is at launch, any game can get better with updates over time. The majority of people who will have played this game will not remember it as the finished "fully updated" FFXV but rather the game they first played at launch. I mean most of them probably won't even buy the DLC or go back on it that much as new games will be out.

UCForce2793d ago

I can say the same thing about RE 7. You got angry because the direction they changed. I know some people don't like that direction, but It returned the root with new twist. And majority do appreciate about it. I gave a Capcom a redemption, but I know some people like you didn't want to give one. Here the thing, even I don't like Ubisoft, EA and Activision, but I do believe they can do something good for once. I take my risk on it. Usually doesn't work, but sometimes it pay off.

Kenshin_BATT0USAI2793d ago (Edited 2793d ago )

This is exactly the shit I don't understand, they took feedback and are adding to the game FOR FREE. And people still bitch. There's no satisfying some people. I doubt many understand the insane turnaround from gaining feedback to adding new content into the game.

-Foxtrot2793d ago

Feedback? No...it was always planned just wasn't finished.

That's not getting feedback, it's just finishing off as game which is still incomplete. I wouldn't applaude that in anyway.

It's like people see the word "free" and suddenly it's alright.

txboy052793d ago

I'm so tired of people bitching about this game. If you dont like it dont play it, its simple as that. Nobody is holding a gun to your head making you play it and not all games are perfect and complete when they come on so the bashing of this game is just ridiculous. I dont think its a great game and yeah they left some stuff out but damn every little article that comes out this Foxtrot dudes goes off like they made him a list of promises man shut the hellup already you entitled brat

-Foxtrot2793d ago

Awwwww did I trigger you? Oh what a shame.

Practice what you preach

txboy052793d ago

No trigger here just tired of seeing you bitching about a game you don't have to play or talk about yet you go out of your way to come on here and do it after every new article. I practice what I preach cause when I don't like a game I sell it or trade it it and am done with it instead of complaining I do something about it.

goldwyncq2793d ago

Just ignore him. He's just one of the many whiny b****** infesting this site.

joethetimelord2793d ago

The only shocker here is that people still take foxtrot seriously.

rainslacker2793d ago

While I agree it could have made travel much easier, I doubt it would have been easier to develop. Driving the car in FFXV is basically pressing the accelerate and brake button, and choosing which way to turn, as the car is guided by a path on the road. It doesn't stray, it doesn't have collisions, it has no physics. It's mostly a glorified QT event, and in many cases, using the infinite sprint trick is a faster way to travel as you can go straight to your destination instead of going along some roundabout road.

Chaosdreams2793d ago

Now that's a free update I will gladly enjoy.

raWfodog2793d ago

This is the kind of stuff that will give me more incentive to NG+ after I've completed the game. Keep up the efforts.

Fishy Fingers2793d ago

That's the spirit. Hopefully the additional (free) content and features can make a second play through a little fresh in places and just as enjoyable.

rainslacker2793d ago

I'm taking my time doing side quests and hunts. I kind of want to finish the game to move on with my back log, and maybe get through GR2 before Horizon launches. But the game that's available now is kind of addictive. Took me a bit to figure out how to do combat effectively, but since then, I'm really enjoying it. Only real gripe I have is how much searching you have to do to actually get to combat scenarios.

raWfodog2793d ago

At some point, you'll get an item that lets you initiate battles whenever you want.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion163d ago (Edited 163d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled163d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog295d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake294d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic293d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan294d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman295d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator294d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno294d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior295d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake294d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
