Silent Hill and Resident Evil have been around for a long time, but which horror franchise has come out on top?
RESIDENT EVIL (1996) Original Cast Reunion & Interview with Linda - Rebecca Chambers, Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith & Eric Pirius.
A fan-made Resident Evil short film has been released, and it tells the story of one of the original game's most terrifying and iconic diary entries.
Fantastic homage to a memorable part of the original. The authenticity to the source material is outstanding and blows away all of the pathetic Hollywood adaptations that we've had to endure as fans. The addition of Chris Redfield's original actor AND (separate) voice actor is fantastic! Heck, even the CGI was pretty good given the total budget of $55k to make this.
Thank GOG for that!
I feel like they should have included the original games with the remakes they've been doing.
Having played both extensively, I'd go with silent hill
Silent Hill went down the hill :) . Resident evil really came back.
Sillent Hill - The number 1 Psychological Horror ever, Resident Evil - The number 1 Survival Horror.
But if i had to choose i would choose Sillent Hill.
I always found silent hill to be more a like a depressing kind of creepy. But resident evil I find to be more on the terror side of things. So I vote resident evil for true horror.
A few years ago I would've said Silent Hill, but seeing as how Konami no longer gives a shit and would rather chase the pachinko market rather than make Silent Hills, I'd have to say Resident Evil is now the undisputed king of horror.
Thanks Konami. >.>
And thank you Capcom for going back to your roots and giving us not only one hell of a Resident Evil game, but one hell of a VR horror game to boot, not an easy feat to pull off!
