And it all adds up on to the backlog of games. I've still yet to play games like the Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 2 because atm I am playing games I have utterly regretted not playing, now onto the top game I always wanted to play which is The Last of Us Remastered (and I almost broke down in tears at the prologue, what an utter prick that guy was for (well, you guys obviously know what happens so am not going to mention it. I'm not even going for trophies or checking my trophy list to check what's required in case it spoils anything.)).

Shenmue III, Hellblade, FFVII remake, NieR: Automata, and Resident Evil 7 aren't exclusive to PS4 though, technically. And Persona 5 is available for the PS3 as well.

If somebody is going to list something that is a PlayStation 4 exclusive at least make sure it could only be found on that platform.

If we're going to go that route now, then nothing, and I mean nothing at all, should ever be written on this site with the words "exclusive" about a game on an xbox platform again. When that happens, then your point will be considered valid.

So I do not see my comment being any less of valid simply because somebody else decides they want to list fake exclusives.

Agree. The word "exclusive" should only be used if they mean exactly that. The meaning of the word has not changed; people are just using it incorrectly to fuel their fanboy PS4 vs XBO list wars.

No, because exclusive doesn't mean "only on one platform". THAT is a made up definition. The word "exclusive" simply helps you describe a limitation in availability. You need to specify what something is exclusive TO. It's totally valid and correct to say a game is exclusive to PC and PS4. This tells us it isn't available on any other game platform but those two.

I don't care about ridiculous console wars, but I do care about the proper use of the English language.

But the problem is people aren't using the word correctly. Tons of people and various articles are straight up saying "PS4 exclusive" or "Xbox exclusive" to describe games that are on more than one platform. Heck, one list for Xbox straight up used the term "games you can only get on this platform" and then starts with Quantum Break. That is an improper use of the word. To say SFV is exclusive to PS4 and PC is a correct use of the word. The game is still not a PS4 exclusive, however, so to include games that are on multiple platforms on a "Top 10 PS4 exclusives" list is providing false information. THAT is the distinction I'm talking about.

Yeah but they'll all still sell the best on PS4. Look at Final Fantasy XIV for example. Some of these might as well be exclusives with as little as other gamers pick these titles up on other platforms.

I am an xbox owner but I'm seriously considering trading it and my ps4 in for a PS4pro. even at gamestop prices, it'd be more than half off. Plus with my gaming PC I won't miss out on any xbox games that interest me.
Wasn't going to bother with the pro, but I need a bigger hard drive and with the money I'd get from trade ins... kinda of a "might as well" situation.
