I get it. But, at the same time if you're not Into a certain game you won't enjoy it. I can't get Into Minecraft. so if I was to review it, it would be a low score. Besides this score, it seems to be getting very "positives" reviews.

Blah blah blah. I hate GTA, I would even give the fifth installment a zero out of ten, does that mean I should be qualified to review the next entry, that caters to the fans of the prequels ? This it's his/her opinion excuse used to justify good games getting lower scores is ridiculous.

If someone is not a fan of the series they have no business reviewing a game of a series they're unfamiliar with.

I personally want to know how the stacks up with the other Yakuza games and I'd rather hear a fan let me know all the nuances

A long time ago in joystick will still actually a site one of the reviewers was reviewing Evil Within and had the nerve to say on the comments that they were not familiar with the previous Resident Evil series and they were complaining about the difficulty in the lack of ammo

Entire Forum of users completely ripped her apart considering how on Earth can you review The Evil Within and you're not familiar with Resident Evil? A game that Shinji mikami created? So when she's talking about this bizarre difficulty in lack of Health as well as lack of ammo that doesn't mean that the game should get a lower score , it means she's completely unfamiliar with the genre of survival horror , thus gave it a lesser score not recognizing that was the entire point of the damn game in the first place.

So if someone is going to review Yakuza zero and they're not familiar with the series, I'm not going to waste my time reading their review because they're not familiar enough with it to understand either what it is doing correct or what it is doing wrong or even a slight nuances to the story.

That has nothing to do with somebody agreeing with a user or not, it has everything to do with them clearly not playing enough of it to understand the series two clearly review a title.

That's like somebody reviewing Persona 5 and talking about how bad the turn-based battles are yet they've never actually played the Persona series or a turn-based game.

Soooooo how do you know that that isn't the actual main draw of the series itself? If you don't know the previous entries I'm sorry but you're going to have an extremely difficult I'm reviewing a game of a series you know nothing about.

This is were consumers want to know only by the hardened Veterans of that series how Yakuza zero Stacks up.

Would you take seriously a review by a person who's never played a specific series vs someone who knows the entire In-N-Outs of the series?

er...this is not a review but an opinion and the writer is entitled to it. However, anyone looking at Yakuza 0 should know it is the best possible point to get on and it actually will be a sterling game, if Yakuza 1 to 5 are anything to go by. There, that's my opinion.

Ok so everyone is giving this game great reviews...and then this guy. LookYakuza isn't for anyone but even if you don't like it you have to give credit where credit's due. I've been playing this series from the very beginning and I can tell you it's no 5/10. I mean an 8 I can understand but a 5, well, you've just lost credibility as a critic because obviously you're only basing a criticism solely on your own preference without giving any acknowledgement to factors outside of "what you like."
