There are no tropes. Just stories. People really need to cut this shit out. If you want your game to push some crappy agenda, go make it and watch it fail miserably in the market. Quit asking others to conform to it. Certainly stop circle jerking games that aren't even trying to fit into your agenda. TLOU was simply being itself. A game. Ellie is a character. She is stereotypical only of herself. This isn't even an opinion, it's just unfiltered crap posted on the internet. I can't believe this person was paid to write this crap.

There used to be a much simpler world, people were happy flipping burgers and working warehouse jobs and were satisfied with their spouses. Now there is too many options that just lead to more confusion, like why should a decent looking girl settle for a man that doesn't look like Thor when she knows she can go onto whatever dating app and demand that you have to look like Thor to be noticed. And why should employers take a chance on you when they can go on ziprecruiter and find countless more qualified candidates leaving you inexperienced and undesirable just because you don't have the right contacts.

This person just wants a scapegoat for their stupid agenda. If their ideas were worth listening too developers would be making games they wanted and we'd be buying them. Almost nobody makes them and damn near nobody buys them.
