Phil Spencer "Really Wants" Black Ops 2 to be backwards compatible on Xbox One

Since the program of backwards compatibility with Xbox One was announced, an Xbox 360 title has been requested by the fans shouting for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Although it has more than 207,000 votes on the feedback site of Xbox, there has been no news about its possible arrival towards the backward compatibility. Something that will cheer the fans is to know that they are not the only ones suffering for this, since Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, also wants the FPS to reach the Xbox One.

Of course he does who wouldnt want people to get what they want but activision is still ringing money out of black ops 3 so it probably wont happen until at least the next call of duty

He should concentrate on getting some "exclusives" instead of old games.

Gazondaily2653d ago

So as to please people who are not obviously xbox fans?

christocolus2653d ago (Edited 2653d ago )

Lol. The usual concern/stealth trolling never ceases to amaze me.

zsquaresoff2653d ago

Keep Playing Halo and Gear till they both reach 10, hopefully, you will realize by then that you need more games to play on your console.

But with blind fans like you, highly doubt that happening.

Gazondaily2653d ago

Maybe you'll realise that this is a twitter response to people specifically asking for BO2 to be backwards compatible.

For a blind fan, my eyesight seems to be far better than yours.

zsquaresoff2653d ago (Edited 2653d ago )

But who is replying to the twitter question? The head of the Xbox division. The guy who is making all the decisions wether to get new games or get old game because his studios aren't capable enough to make quality games.

It seems you're not only blind but a little dumb as well.

@zsquare

"The guy who is making all the decisions wether to get new games or get old game because his studios aren't capable enough to make quality games. "

You really are ignorant and obviously have no idea how BC works on Xbox one. MS doesn't pay a dime to get approval from publishers for BC. All the publishers have to do is give the go ahead and MS BC team get to work re-engineering the game (where necessary) to take advantage of Xbox one. This has nothing to do with MS 1st party efforts. You were trying to stealth troll and you were caught and now you are being defensive and trying to throw shade. The teams working on BC are different from MS 1st party devs but you wouldn't know that cos you don't even care. Phil is answering a question about Blackops2 on BC. What does that have to do with your comment above? You were obviously trolling bro.

Gazondaily2653d ago (Edited 2653d ago )

"But who is replying to the twitter question? The head of the Xbox division."

Yes.... So you're saying that he should ignore all fans who are asking for the most requested BC title?

"It seems you're not only blind but a little dumb as well."

And you're a genius right?

aconnellan2653d ago

Yeah you're right, I guess he can't multitask.

/s

What a ridiculous statement. Like it or not, BC is a popular feature on Xbox One, and the games that are added to it are done so on a consumer feedback basis - given BO2 is one of, if not the most, requested games to go BC, so of course they're going to look into it.

Getting games supported by BC and getting new IP are not mutually exclusive, and it's a ridiculous sentiment to think that working on popular fan requests negates new games

rainslacker2652d ago (Edited 2652d ago )

Seriously..

I mean, I think a lot of people would have liked him to really want Scalebound on the Xbox One. But I guess Phil has more clout than those of us who brought the system for the games that they promoted coming to it.

I didn't buy the system to play games that were advertised to sell the 360. If I wanted that, I would have brought a 360 last gen.

WIsh MS would stop talking about games they'd like to see, and show games they are actually bringing, and stick to actually getting them on the system.

It's great that Phil wants it on the system, but most users aren't there pining over BC and hoping all these old games might get released on it.

Note to Phil:

Most users don't care what you want to come to the system, they care what you are bringing to the system.

Quick a tweet, make an article.

nowitzki20042653d ago

Tweeting is the new news I guess. Look at Trump.

rainslacker2652d ago (Edited 2652d ago )

They say people who use twitter are called twits.

Not sure what the people who make an article about these tweets, and the twits that make them are called. Maybe Chirps?
