Even in portable mode it has all of what was mentioned in this title. Nice.

More powerful than Wiiu

I hope this stops people from saying "Wii U version is pretty much the same" the Wii U version looks terrible compared to the Switch.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3032d ago

They won't stop. Asking or hoping they will is like asking them to buy a Nintendo game or system.

Lon3wolf3032d ago

I say the Switch version looks better but I wouldn't say the Wii-U version looks terrible either.

gamer78043032d ago

It looks better but not buy a new system better. due to the file sizes being nearly the same it looks more like better AF than better textures. It does have better lighting. I'll be getting it for the wiiu.

chrisx3032d ago

The difference is not as much as a next gen version should be. Looks almost just as good on wiiu

Fishy Fingers3032d ago

They've managed to improve the visuals from a mains power system to a battery powered portable. Regardless what you think of the outcome that's no mean feat.

i'd rather play a game like zelda from my home, so i can experience it on the big screen. If the screen is unavailable i'll just sit on the other couch with the wiiu gamepad in my lap.

best comparison video, basically better lighting, slightly sharper textures. In some cases without knowing i wouldn't be able to tell which was switch and which was wiiu. Remember this is a WiiU game, ported to the Switch. IMO not worth it alone to spend 370$ on a switch.

Unless you do not own a Nintendo console like myself. I would much rather buy the switch then buy the Wii u which is soon to be obsolete and roughly the same price.

gamer78043032d ago

yah if i were in your shoes i'd do the same, just keep in mind that the switch is not backwards compatible with wii and wiiu games.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the anti-Breath of the Wild

Polygon: "To get back to the way Ocarina made us feel, it was necessary to reject almost everything about it."

Ocarina of Time changed my life forever, such a masterpiece

Hard to believe it's 25 years old already.

The feeling this game gave me the first time i had my hands on it is indescribable.. i still get the chill from that day..
botw is like a spin off of the series.. it’s fun but with many flaws and the most important which is Zelda formula isn’t there..

FinalFantasyFanatic497d ago

I can't even remember how many times I played through OoT, I finished that game, and collected everything so many times.

I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.

gold_drake498d ago

but still considered the best of the seties.

i would have liked botw to be more like ocarina.

25 years from today whatever Zelda is out people would too be looking fondly at Breath of the Wild.

Ah the more simple times of the 2020s.

It isn't...
