I don't really see the switch as a replacement for the 3ds. I see it as two different consoles that Nintendo has put forth for two different markets. The 3ds is still family and kid friendly while the little bit of marketing we've seen for the Switch is geared towards millennials on-the-go.

I think that they way Switch is getting covered is far superior to Wii U's opening. I felt like no one cared about the U but everyone is hype for the Switch. Aka whoever is on the advertisement committee needs a pay raise haha
