Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise gets 5.5 from Gameplayer

Gameplayer has gone live with a review of Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise that is far from glowing, going against the scores coming out of the majority of sites which as seen it even rewarded with 10/10 with some media.

"Compounding this further is the dizzying sense of disorientation you feel during your first few hours of play. It's possible to feel like a geriatric lost in Disneyland as you stumble throughout your garden and adjacent desert locales, sticking your cursor on everything to see just what you have to do next."

games like these are not for everyone so scores like these are expected

Viva Pinata rocks if you got kids.

Maybe the FPS nerds should stop playing 360.

Saint Sony3681d ago

If that is your attempt to say 360 only has FPS, you fail.

Yikes! 5.5 seems like a really low score. I haven't played the game and admittedly I'm not a big fan of the first, though it was a more interesting game than I would have imagined. Still, 5.5 seems rather harsh I think! I'd even say the first is well above that and I can't imagine this sequel being worse.

Hmmm... well I suppose in the end it's their opinion. Perhaps this title was just very much out of their preferred style. I don't really follow Gameplayer's reviews so I don't know what kind of scores they give out on average.

But I do think the X360 should give up on trying to compete in the family game scene. Leave that to WiiCube and Sony's lifestyle games

stop using multiply account to bash the 360

Ninja gaiden 2 sold over a million copy WW and btw the games you mentioned are good unlike the unplayable Lair or Haze lol

It ran at 585p and sold 330k in US in June and nothing in July and subsequent months
It sold just 20k in Japan and 40k in europe

I agree a bit harsh, but reading the review the guy spells out why he thinks that way pretty well.

I liked the first one, but it didn't deserve my love. It made life so frustrating and the pace so slow.

It seems like there is nothing in this sequel that couldn't have been added as DLC for the original too, that is the main reason why I am staying away from it.
