Bethesda talks about the cancellation of Prey 2

Pete Hines, vice president of Bethesda, has talked with the official magazine of Xbox about the reasons that led to the cancellation of Prey 2 before the saga was rescued to perform a restart by Arkane Studios.

You were heartbroken!! Me too but for another matter.... why the hell prey, the 1st game got released later on xbox but not on playstation 3? WTF?
The 1st was a great game but unfortunately i fumbled my fingers and a dodgey mouse to have to play it. Why why why wasn't it released on ps3 i dunno.
But yes, to your point i was really looking forward to the 2nd installment too. Such a shame.

Thanks for posting this and trying to stop the lies that the Bethesda execs are trying to make up. Don't get me wrong Bethesda is one of my favorite developers, but I'm just not a fan of their excuses.

They get a free pass because Skyrim and FallOut.. Fanboys can't see past it. I would respect them alot more if they were just honest and say "We tried to buy them, they refused.. our relationship turned sour.. we couldnt work with each other anymore.. we moved on" How hard is that??

I really hate how because this game was cancelled Human Head has been forced to make cellphone games. Prey 2 was their biggest break into the video games market and I just wish they'd be given another shot, at those kind of games. From what I understand Human Head owns the ideas from that game, so I wish another company would help them bring it out as a new IP instead.

This easily is one of the biggest games I wanted that was canceled. If only Bethesda wasn't greedy and wanted to buy the company Human Head this game could have come out, but instead there is one less video game developer making console or PC games.
