Some very unfortunate news came from Razer CEO, Min-Liang Tan, as he recently reported that two of Razer’s prototype devices had been stolen from the CES 2017 show floor.
The fact someone was actually able to walk away with several hardware prototypes from a place like CES, does not say good things about the security measures of either CES or Razer. Kind of ironic they are claiming the thief is not very smart. Either he/she was smart enough to bypass their security, cut cables and walk off unnoticed with the devices, or CES/Razor failed to take security measures, which shows a complete lack of intelligence. Either way, the thief is the more intelligent of the lot.
i would have locked those things down pretty hard considering they were protos. Somewhat curious is considering the size how did someone just walk away with them?
Probably didn't want to pay the crazy Razer price when the stuff finally comes out. These guys have all of the prices of top quality products and have yet to release a single thing with any of the functionality of the top of the line stuff released these days. Not saying that excuses the stealing, but it's the only motive I can think of. They make bare bones, incredibly basic equipment (or borderline non functional 360 accessories) and expect people to pay damn near top dollar "Cuz pretty lights".
On a side note, CES has terrible security it seems. Really bad security.
Damn lol
LoL as If this three headed laptop will survive In the hardware market.
"Sigh" What a Thief !
Wait. Those weren't to take home. My bad.
