The people that pre-ordered this edition must be wondering as to why it took 5 months though to get what they paid for ...... edit do people not read or what

FullmetalRoyale3087d ago

Because they've been waiting for five months...

I bet most people that got theirs were like

"When did I order this"

No one cares at this point. To little, to late. Releasing content that was promised 5 months later is unacceptable.

Chaosdreams3087d ago

People care. The problem is, as you stated, "to little, to late." However that doesn't mean that no one is still interested in the initial experience that No Man's Sky was supposed to deliver. With updates, comes more content, which means an increase in potentially bringing back some gamers who want to get lost in exploration.

The initial game was a barren wasteland. And the silence that came after, both resulted in as you said, being "unacceptable." Still, Hello Games hasn't given up in making it better, so I think, as some see this, they too, won't give up in having interest and potentially one day enjoying an experience.

But yes. This is something that should never happen (a game releasing in such a state). Once this game is done having updates, I still think Hello Games is going to feel a very, very, empty reception, in their future projects.

I'm pretty sure everyone who ordered this edition cares about receiving what they paid for.

Congratulations on completely missing the point. Let me spell it out for you, people paid $150 for a collectors edition that they expected to receive at launch but are only receiving now. Those people that ordered this edition absolutely care about receiving the product they paid $150 for. They aren't just going to accept not receiving what they paid for and move on.

Maybe next time try reading more than just "No Man's Sky".

XanderZane3086d ago

They've moved on by now or have already sold the game. Most likely playing Astroneer, Elite Dangerous or The Last Guardian by now. First impressions are important.

I had so much hope for this game. I hope they can improve with updates but they will always have a black cloud over this IP

crazysammy3087d ago

I ordered this and what a massive headache its been. They refused to do refunds because they sent the steam codes for the game day one, but never sent anything else. I still havent received mine but I have the tracking number so we will see.

Crazy they could get away with such practice

Japan: Nintendo Switch 2 already outsold lifetime sales of Xbox Series X|S and PS5 Digital Edition

Wow… Nintendo is champ in Japan, but the speed of sale is remarkable.

Proves that console gaming isn’t dead yet not by a long shot.

gold_drake1d 1h ago

not surprised, the switch is relatively cheap in japan.

I guess the resistance against always online and digital only consoles is BS. The people have voted with their wallets.

NotoriousWhiz23h ago

What are you talking about? Switch 2 is neither always online nor digital only.

DivineHand12522h ago

Nintendo can literally block your Switch 2 console from accessing their online services at any time. When that happens, it becomes a brick. You won't even be able to play those games that use game key cards that are not installed on the console. Some users who have been blocked tried factory resetting their system, and when they tried to boot it up with a new account, they are stuck.

Speaking of game key cards, the majority of third party publishers have opted to use those instead of loading their full game on those cartridges. Imagine having a library of game key card games and going on a long trip but not being able to play a particular game because you need to connect to Nintendo servers to download the game first. It is not like the old days where you just plug in and play.

Game key cards make sense for large games like GTA, Red Dead, or COD, but I don't see why publishers who have games with sizes less than 32 GB need to use that option.

If you try to mod your system it could get banned from online play like every single system since the ps3 and xbox
