And take note. This is just for retail sales only; sales from the Nintendo Japanese website are not yet included.

Like the Wii and the Wii U, interesting, you don't say?
Nah, With Breath of the Wild launching with the Switch, only poor marketing could make or break the console.
3rd party support is merely a feature for the Switch, most people now already own a pc, ps4 or xbox one and are going to continue buying 3rd party games for those more powerful machines (unless its the type of game they would like to play portably).
Nintendo hasn't relied on 3rd parties since...SNES? N64 and Gamecube had some support but it didn't matter. Wii and WiiU didn't have any. People get Nintendo hardware for Nintendo 1st party games. Even when 3rd party games were put on their hardware, the customers didn't buy them. That's why 3rd party support inevitably ended every generation.
The Switch will get ports and maybe a few exclusives early on and they'll sell terribly and support will end and 1st party games will sell millions. The media keeps wanting to pit Nintendo against Sony/MS but they're in a completely different market. They're basically a complementary company. People own a gaming pc/PS4/XB1 and they'll have a Switch on the side.
Break
I'm not too sure I agree with that because I don't necessarily see the switch as a Home console as much as I see it a portable, so the way I feel is Mass Effect not appearing on the switch is not going to hurt the platform any more than Mass Effect not appearing on the 3DS.
As long as they have their Japanese support from companies like Square Enix , Capcom ,Sega I believe they will be fine.
I believe it's going to be successful in Japan simply because all Nintendo's Portables have been successful in that region so I think a lot of its success is going to be based on the Japanese support it receives, not necessarily console third-party support.
