Was 2016 Another Big Win for PlayStation?

2016 is a year that saw the release of some massive PS4 games like Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, No Man's Sky, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. On top of that Sony released three brand new pieces of hardware: PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, and PlayStation VR. It has been quite the 12 months, so who better than Matthew Pellett, Editor of Official PlayStation Magazine, to reflect on a big year for PlayStation?

For WiiU and its discontinued production after (unfortunately) disappointing sales and already announced games getting canceled due to "technical difficulties" and moved to switch? Or for xbox 1 for a whole year without an exclusives and a measly 2-3 months lead in sales in in North america while still losing worldwide?

It wasn't even a contest, it was like playstation 4 playing a football match without an opponent, while xbox1 witnessing the play from the ranks and wiiu sitting at home watching the game via Television. Total domination!!!

It's done well with providing new products the biggest let down is PSN, it should be free since it's full or maintenance and rubbish from protection.

Another solid year but next year is xbox's big chance to get back with the scorpio, personally looking forward to it as gaming is better when you have multiple platforms competing. Also looking forward to seeing more of the xbox line up on PC as so far some of them have been great performance wise on pc (Gears and Horizon).

I'd rather buy a Switch with Mario and Zelda. Especially since the Switch will be a lot less expensive. Plus I can play all the Xbox games on the PC I already own.
