Nintendo's Super Mario Run is a big hit on the App Store but its price point is not proving too popular.
Yeah I'm not paying that much for it. The first few free levels keep me entertained enough, I can easily wait until more become free.
Nothing is free with Nintendo... EVER!
All of the additional content for Splatoon was free.
Shocking right? Company sells products to generate revenue.
$15 stop crying
People aren't enjoying a cell phone game...shocking
yet they pay for 800+ cell phones
Well I'd at least consider it if it were on Android.
I bought it for my 7 year old son. He completed every level within 30 minutes. I definitely feel like my $10 is wasted.
I guess he means that he went through them and saw the ending in 30min. Not everyone wants to collect coins and be a completionist. I tend to skip through the colored coin or big/yoshi coin collecting in Mario games, but I always do the side quests in other games. $10 for 30min to an hour isn't much when other Mario games with the same 2D plane mechanics give you like 8 worlds with 10 levels each and those take a while to beat. I know this is something that is meant to be played in short bursts like on a train or bus, but still... I had so much more time with that free mobile Tomb Raider game and made it to 50% on the 2nd location with careful resource planning. The grinding wasn't that bad, put hours into that game and I could of gotten 100% if I wanted to. Hope they do a Super Mario Run Maker, the formula has potential.
Yep, I confirm my comment. I literally thought he mistakenly skipped a bunch of levels when he said to me, "Daddy, I beat all of the levels.". I checked each level and saw a score for each one.
No complaints paying for a quality game on mobile, but the method of in app purchase bypassing family sharing is sneaky as all hell.
Dude, I'm salty about only being able to restore purchases with a Nintendo ID and not Apple ID.
Either pay & play or simply don't pay & don't play . Kind of simple
I wouldn't mind paying for it. I just didn't enjoy it at all.
It's hilarious reading the comments on the AppStore. People and by that I can only assume is mostly kids by the way they write. Wants it to be free. Just shows how spoiled some people are. And what's even worse is adults doing the same. Grown people complaining about using pocket change to pay for something others have used hundreds if not thousands of man hours to make. Probably the same type of people who hate to pay for a game but uses idiotic amounts on micro transactions.
They probably or most likely used Mario Maker to make this so I bet one person did the job which was eliminating all the control mechanic and just leave jumping as touch screen then port it to the phone. Probably took them less than one week to make this game and pay some money (or made deal with Apple so they don't have to pay any) to be put on appstore.
Thousands of man hours to make this game..... LOL
* Real gamers don't mind paying for games because that is just what you do. Wanna be distraction app users whine about having to spend money on a product.
No wonder their stock hasn't picked up. Same goes for Switch, terrible idea to think people will drop their cell phones to play with a tablet as they're catching a train(or getting hit by one), Nintendo has one great idea and just can't continue on from there. Back when the Wii released I said it would sell like crazy but the audience would abandon it, and look at the WiiU and the failure it was. You can't remain consistent selling to casuals Nintendo, at least certainly won't do better than the other big two in the long run. The golden price would've been 5 bucks, 10 bucks is too much for the mobile gaming crowd imo, even nickel and diming would've been smarter than this.
I'm glad we've solved all the world's problems and can now whine about the price of a mobile game.
Now suddenly every1 cares for mobile games, the ones made for "casuals", how hypocrites.
I am a massive Mario fan and if this game was of the usual Mario quality i'd happily pay £8. Hell i'd pay £20. But this auto running auto dodging enemies gameplay is awful. I played it for 1 minute and had to stop. Very disapointing.
No, people don't like paying $10 for something barely worth $5, and being treated to 'Always Online' DRM as a "Thank you for buying our product".
