Lol that is exactly like one of my good friends Adam. He literally grinds in the beginning of most RPGs and then goes through the rest of it destroying every boss lol

To be fair it's not that hard in this game: experience spellcrafting + 1.5 hotel (can be reached by foot) + cactaur hunting = pretty high level

The x2 hotel down at the docks has done wonders for post game grinding, expensive but one or two hunts and it's all good.

But the game does open up after Chapter 3, I mean the game allows you to earn AP by riding chocobos, cars and camping etc....he is Grinding...but at a very basic level, and making it difficult for himself....isnt he?

I got to 99 in a day simply by using expcast spells in dungeons, the costlemark one yields ridiculous amounts of XP. One you get like 300,000 or higher, just call Umbra and go back to Altessia and sleep in the inn with the 3.0x XP boost to level up fast. If you need money for the hotel just gor find high gil value treasures in the world, like Strong Whiskers, Behemoth Horn, Choram Armor tp sell. There is also a Hyper Magnum in the army base next to Old Lestallum to the West after beating the story, It is strong and can be sold for a lot as well as being a respawnable treasure. You can also find the sniper cerberus in the bast too.

Yeah. I watched a streamer Mr. Happy and the next day or so he was 99 across the board. Not really like that for rpgs. DS ruined me because games get too easy too quick. They are designed too often for normal or easy modes. I remember how difficult past FF games were. The main story required diligence and a time sink, but added enemies required finding the best gear and weapons etc.

I hope they keep adding end game content. It's the most important thing to me and the reason I level and chase rewards, as many do! If it's too easy, it's ruined for me.

Im lvl 52 at chapter 3. But i dont think ill be grinding anymore, i just found out yesterday that you dont actually get anything worthwhile from the late game dungeons anyway.

Im using the Ultima Blade which in terms of attack speed and raw damage is the best weapon in the game. Royal arms leech too much health so youre supposed to only equip them for the stat bonuses (even with some health regen items its still not really worth it). I am well aware of how the game works, there is nothing truly worthwhile in late-game.

Ultima Blade isnt the best weapon. Its the second best sword. But there are better weapons.

The Ultima Blade isn't the best weapon. The Balmung Sword is the best sword by quite a ways. Plus different enemies are weak or strong against different weapons. Just the Ultima blade isn't as good as you think it is.

The damage of Balmung is directly tied to your stamina, blink twice and you will do less damage with that then even Ultima Blade. I also know there is a two hander that hits even harder but becouse of the glitchy two hander animations and how slow it is.....again, not really an upgarde.
