New AAA FPS Franchise On The Way From The Developers Of Left 4 Dead & Evolve, Turtle Rock Studios

Perfect World Entertainment, a leading publisher of online multiplayer games, and Turtle Rock Studios, best known for the hugely successful Left 4 Dead, today announced an exciting new partnership that will see the development of a new AAA FPS title for PC and consoles.

I'm right there with you. The game arrived with all of the fanfare of a wet fart. I'll have to wait and see.

I really don't understand the change in formula for Evolve. Left 4 Dead was great because the entire experience was multiplayer, team-based, by the end of a campaign you could list countless memorable moments with your team.

Then Evolve removed that element completely with the 4v1 style, not really my thing. If they can stick closer to the elements that made Left 4 Dead such a big hit, I'd be excited for this one :D

I would like to believe that a team is more than a single title.

This is the team that crafted Counter-Strike and the Left 4 Dead series.

I trust that they could make a quality experience as I don't seriously believe a single game not working out for them suddenly means their team is down the toilet , it happens to even the best teams.

I think it would be wise if they steered clear of microtransactions this time around.

Very unlikely with Perfect World involved. Every game they publish is a free-to-play title with micro-transactions, with the exception of Livelock that's buy-to-play.

I'd much rather pay for a game outa the box but as this ones free-to-play, you're almost guaranteed to have micro-transactions :(

It's sad and funny seeing this, because I called this well in advance.

I played it at E3 and I felt like I was the only one who walked away completely disappointed, then the beta came and I knew this game was going to a HUGE let down for me at least, but then fans were complaining it's just a beta, reviews came out from big sites getting 8's and 9's and I swear it was no more than a 7, and boom the DLC train hit and the player base died.

This is coming from someone who spent an entire generation playing Left for Dead, and still pops it in every now and then on my XBO, but Evolve was one of the biggest disappointment for me this generation. The Division is another. Destiny was going to be one at launch, but shockingly they turned that around with the expansions (and thankfully I got vanilla Destiny for free, so it wasn't as bad).

Hopefully everything works out for them, multiplayer is a very very difficult thing to get done correctly.
