Must be one hell of an IP, cause Techland games are not that mind-blowing .

Ashunderfire863111d ago

So your saying Dying Light wasn't a hit?

XXanderXX3111d ago

Never said Dying Light wasn't a hit just said that Techland games are not mind blowing , personally not my cup of tea.

badz1493110d ago

new IP from Techland...I bet it will be another zombie related IP.

BizarroUltraman3110d ago

Dying Light is ok, like he said not mind blown....

_-EDMIX-_3110d ago

Their a solid team.

Dead Island and Dying Light were amazing games. I think anything the do should get some attention by the industry.

Mind you, I never played Dying Light or Dead Island, but I've seen and heard enough to know the team is legit. Buddy, not every team need to be "mind-blowing".

What AAA GOTY game did you make lately? Its just immature and disrespectful. Yes, we have some great developers in the industry, but I'm pretty sure they don't just talk crap about teams as saying things like "games are not that mind-blowing".

Sorry, you only play games by the best teams in the world? lol

Such as? lol

XXanderXX3110d ago (Edited 3110d ago )

You may be okay with what they offer you and that's fine for u , as for me if the game is not mind blowing ,if am not sold am not buying no matter what others say or think including other developers . Also I don't need to make a game to know what I should spend my money or have a opinion on .
As I said earlier if the game is not mind blowing it has no value to me .

My best teams with mind blowing games
Ori the blind forest
Pneuma: Breath of Life
Inside
Unravel
State of decay
Child of Light
Valiant Hearts
Life is Strange

BizarroUltraman3110d ago

You're the one acting all immature and disrespectful. What, is he not allowed to not to like a certain developers work?
Ill bookmark this comment and you should remember it as well guys. When hes talking crap about Xbox games and their devs. The hypocrisy!

_-EDMIX-_3110d ago

@biz- anyone is free to not like or like any developer they feel like it, but there's no need to throw shade on a developer simply because someone feel they're not up to a certain caliber like other Developers.

Please, just sounds childish. Call me when you folks put out a game. When have I ever talked bad about Microsoft developers? Microsoft have really really good developers as to why there with a high-caliber publisher in the first place I may disagree with Microsoft methods but I've never disrespected their developers they are still creators and human beings.

Can you even find a comment where I've ever disrespected any of Microsoft developers? I don't like the publisher that doesn't mean I disrespect the people that make their games.

I'm sorry but I think you've grossly confused my dislike with a Publisher's methods with dislike for the actual development team.

@XX- you could not like whatever you feel like it buddy trust me that's completely up to you, but there's no reason to be trying to throw developers under the bus based on your own personal taste.

It simply means you don't care for them but please stop trying to make it sound as if it's because the developer isn't to a specific caliber it simply means you don't like a specific game.

I wonder if things are getting bad at cd project red with all those EA rumors?!

poppinslops3110d ago (Edited 3110d ago )

Those rumors have since been debunked by both EA and CDPR, the latter of whom have been using their newfound wealth to buyback a majority of their own shares, thus pre-empting any potential Ubisoft/Vivendi style takeovers... with regards to Monnier's departure, I'm guessing he left for Techland because they offered him more $$$ - that, or he's REALLY into zombies!

Edit: Despite having bolstered their numbers in the wake of The Witcher's success, outspending Techland/Warner Bros would be difficult - not only for an 'indie' dev like CDPR, but for many of the major studios as well.... and whilst I'm all for CDPR's independence, this Monnier situation does demonstrate it's downsides - assuming I'm right about him 'selling out'.

Fist4achin3110d ago

Cool. Thanks for the update. I would hate for one of the bigger companies to take over and turn it to shit. I'm sure Monnier is the latter of the two choices!!!

_-EDMIX-_3110d ago

on the reports to my understanding only 4 developers or so have left.

That isn't to say more haven't left the team simply only reported 4 , i don't really think they have anything to be worried about after the success of The Witcher 3.

But considering the high price that Electronic Arts could possibly pay they very much could purchase CD projekt Red and the team might be okay with this especially if the main Founders could just take their share and open up another Studio elsewhere.

Fist4achin3110d ago

Well, if it does happen, I hope the franchise doesn't turn to shit. I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077

Rob_Ko3110d ago

Leaving Cyberpunk 2077? wow, what a bold move, I thought everyone would love to work on that project.

quent3110d ago

Isn't techland still busy with that skyrim looking game ?

quent3110d ago

Yes thats the one, progreSs on its development has been quiet for awhile now

AnotherProGamer3110d ago

@quent

Yeah its probably cause the game went from a digital only linear game to a retail open world RPG

I love this controller. Feels so nice in the hand. Plus the battery lasts for days, it's crazy.

$100 ?????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????

1nsomniac2h ago

Yea the pricing for Nintendo peripherals is a bigger joke than the game prices. What the hell were they thinking!

Vits2h ago

The thing is, over the past decade, third-party controllers have really stepped up. You can often get better quality, more durability, and stronger performance for half the price of first-party options. Meanwhile, controllers from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have become increasingly mediocre, expensive, fragile, and not particularly impressive across the board. What makes this especially noticeable with Nintendo is that they’re surprisingly open to third-party hardware. That openness ends up highlighting just how much better the alternatives are.

Best controller I’ve ever used I even like more than my dual sense edge

Very good dev length for a AAA/AA game I'd say. Companies need to set an aim for this range. 1-2 is too little, I believe 3-4 is perfect. Any more is too much. Games don't need to be these gigantic games full of a crazy amount of content. Just make a good game.

Skate-AK14h ago

Lol. Had no idea who that was, but I will admit they do look quite similar.
