Surprised to see someone mention DD: Neon. I loved it but it seemed like I was the only one as most people just dunked on it when it was first released on the PS3. Fight N Rage is also a good one. I liked Raging Justice but it doesn't hold a candle to the other games you mentioned.
Guardian Heroes is only £1.69 on the Xbox store, just picked it up yesterday. It's still amazing.

Wow, you can totally tell this is from the publisher that brought us Hotline Miami! 16-bit art, ultra violent gameplay, and rad soundtrack. Devolver Digital loves this kind of stuff and so do their fans. Looks pretty challenging to boot. I still can't figure out why indie developers opt out of online co-op in favor of couch co-op. Don't get me wrong, I love couch co-op, but for the sake of accessibility and appeal, add in some online co-op as well.
