It's far from perfect, but it's an interesting oddity that adds some of the better refinements found in Sons of Liberty to the original MGS. It's divisive, sure, but I think it's experiencing at least once.
How can something be trash compared to the original when it contains everything that was in the original, and more. Twin snakes is a refinement of the original with additional abilities, weapons and added cutscenes. It is essentially a definitive edition remaster.

ROFL. FYI i'm 29 and have been playing games since the SNES released. My current physical game collection sits at around 850. I have played more games than you have ever even seen.
I agree. There were elements of story shoehorned in which completely contradict and create major plot holes, the addition of Son's of Liberty mechanics destroyed the balance and tightly tuned fights and stealth of the original--trivializing many intense moments, and the music is a sad substitute for the original's iconic works.
It was like someone went up to the Mona Lisa and felt it would look better if she was giving a definitive, toothy smile and was topless then did just that. There was a reason the original worked so well and adding modern touches without fully understanding the piece itself is always a mistake.
Avid Metal Gear fan here who would love to play Twin Snakes, despite some loving it, some hating it. MGS1 is a masterpiece, but I'm so curious to see how it plays out.
I was a big fan of EA back then. There used to be so much variety in the GCN, PS2 and Xbox era from them. Now not so much. I would love to see that game return.
Twin Snakes is trash in comparison to the original ....lame all together
Skies of Arcadia Legends would be great.

If they add Def Jam: Fight for NY to the list, I'm sold
