Criterion's Star Wars Battlefront experience is the best demo for VR yet

It's a short and spectacular ride that's got all the dazzle of something like Disneyland's Star Tours, and it's all delivered from the comfort of your own living room. It's the kind of thing that will be wheeled out for family members throughout Christmas looking to get a sample of VR, and it does a grand job of selling you on the immersion that's capable with the medium.
That Star Wars magic helps a lot, too.

That would be awesome. I also really enjoyed COD VR mission. Final point.... REZ Area X is AMAZING in VR. Visuals, sound, colour, vision is all unbelievable. Check it out 😉

It was really good but it just makes me want a full game based on Star Wars and a Wing Commander like game.
Eve is good but not much of a Story. We need real epic games with a decent story campaigns in VR, and mostly what we have now is short experiences and games.

Man, that hyper jump, cruising with other x-wing fighters, wings open for battle, and the sound of the Tie Fighters and their barrage of lasers and seeing the Star Destroyer up close... Epic.

Can't wait for full games at this level of quality. EA deserves a tip of the hat for making it free DLC.

No it isn't. Don't get me wrong it is pretty good, but it is far from the best tech demo to show off VR.

Admittedly it does look good, even more so if you're a big SW fan. But like the game itself, initially looks good but lacks substance. I assume this is being treated as a test bed over demand for a 'proper' VR game.
