This Was A Bad Time To Release Let It Die

For those of you that may have missed it, the PS4 free to play game, Let It Die, released over the weekend. Developer Grasshopper Manufacture is responsible for games such as Killer7, No More Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw, and Killer is Dead and returns this time to try and put an interesting spin on the Dark Souls formula.

But why is Let It Die is releasing now?

That and very, very low advertisement. Bad release time, AND few know about it. Basically shot themselves in the foot with this one..

The game is free to play...word of mouth will do it's thing.

There's nothing wrong with release time.
Sony should've at least paid some attention to it.

But nope. They need to save many and cut costs.

I was actually interested in this game but even I missed it's release date. This is terrible and shouldn't happen to any exclusive.

When is the right time?

Next year isn't exactly the best time either. There's a lot of major releases early next year as well, especially if you are a PlayStation gamer.

January would have probably been best. Big games for 2017 don't launch till February

Not really. You got Yakuza 0, Tales of Berseria, Gravity Rush 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and more on early January.

Am sure it has been out in some other countries as well, also heard it was out in Spain, but not in most EU countries as far as I know and have no clue why!

This game is far from being a disappointment. It's free............oh yeah, did I forget to mention it's FREE. Right time? There is never a right time in the gaming industry theses days. Maybe summer time when they have the least amount of releases?

I only played a couple hours, but it was a very entertaining couple hours. The presentation is pretty unique that's for sure.

Love the game. Not sure what the authors problem is....lack of marketing?! It's not like they presented it at PSX, huh?!

I deleted this. I enjoyed the game a first ,but by the time I got to the 5th floor and nothing changed in the environment I was over it. Too bad because I really liked the zany gore style.

With Sony announcing that they've reached over 50+ million PS4s sold through to customers, along with PSX, and The Last Gaurdian doing well, its no wonder we are seeing such silly artilces. Every site that doesn't like Sony are scrambling to create a smear campaign, saying such things as a free game was released at the wrong time. Trying to say that PSX was a disappointment because the show was for the fans and not enough AAA games were announced. Then you have VGChartz saying that Xbox One is a little over 21 million units shipped/sold (21,849,822 to quote the VGCharts article), were as we don't really know what the numbers are. Xbox fans in the Sony reaching over 50 milion SOLD saying (guessing) that Xbox One are at 27 million, along with trying to trash The Last Guardian in every article.
The salt is definitely strong and wide spread with many non Sony/PlayStation haters/detracters. Good going Sony/PlayStation you know you are doing the right thing when everybody and their grandmother are hating on you, keep up the good work, and I will continue to buy your ever expanding library of NEW IPs ALONG with your continued award-winning franchises.
