All I got from that read was: "Uncharted 4 is dissaponting because it is not The Last of Us."

They compare UC4 to TLoU so much it is like they wanted a carbon copy story-wise, forgetting that TLoU is supposed to be more grounded and serious.

To each their own I guess. Uncharted 4 delivered to me.

4 PS4 exclusives on the list, 1 Wii U, and zero Xbox One. Hmmm...

What about ReCore? Quantum Break? Gears 4? Or was it the delays of most exclusives to 2017 (Crackdown 3, Cuphead, Halo Wars 2, Scalebound, and Sea of Thieves, to name a few) that excused Xbox One from consideration?

Uncharted 4 is disappointing... 1 new game mechanic, still the bad gunplay, 50% cutscenes, mediocre story that IMO doesn't deliver compared to previous games in the series. The MP is also bad and always has been.

It's gorgeous it's big but it's tbh not that great compared to Uncharted 2.

I didn't read it as wanting a TLOU copy, but more like they wanted UC4 to move gaming forward in the same way TLOU pushed the medium in such a significant manner. I'm not sure that's fair just because both came from ND though.

I wouldn't argue about #2-10, but calling UC4 a disappointment because you were hoping for an A++, but only got an A+ instead, is a stretch for me.

Do you really play games mate? Or you just come here take the word of others and make it your own... If you didn't complain about cutscenes in U2, you shouldn't be complaining in U4 now, or "1 gameplay mechanic." Whatever the f that mean mate...

That's funny considering Drake killing so many people was one of the main complaints in the previous entries. I guess you can have your cake and eat it too.

Pacing is good. It is only Elena and Nate's chapter that drag the story down a bit but it picks up again.

Less combat was welcomed for me because It gave more room for exploration and less frequent fights at every corner, but there wer still plenty of encounters. I really don't get this complain

I have never heard complaints regarding U4, not anything substantial like every other game in the list. I liked the ending very much and the combat was the best yet.

UC4 was the first Uncharted game I didn't like. I agree with it being on this list.

The pacing is horrible in my opinion, the game is like 70% climbing simulator, 30% combat. And the story feels forced and unnecessary. A brother pulled out of thin air, no previous mention of him, not even subtle hints. It's clear that they came up with the brother angle out of thin air.

Oh, and the fact that the ending was altered for the sole purpose of attempting to be some social justice message. Drake and Elena having a girl instead of a boy, which itself was not the problem, the problem was that they admitted that it was originally supposed to be a son, not a daughter, but neil druckman being the anita Sarkeesian worshiper that he is, changed it for the sole purpose of social justice, completely disregarding his own creativity in favor of trying to push a feminist agenda.

Not to mention drake and his brother, both who have killed countless highly trained soldiers, mercs, black ops, etc., not being able to even land a blow on an 80 pound woman. It's just unrealistic. If Drake and his brother were just bumbling lucky idiots with little fighting ability, sure, it would be believable, but they've held their own with the best of the best, they should have no problem taking a woman down, but instead, she was written as being able to completely own the both of them to prove that women are just as strong as men physically, even more so in fact, EVEN when up against two of them.

Also, uncharted should have just stayed uncharted, but instead, it tried to blend itself with the last of us, gameplay wise, by having stealth mechanics, but mediocre stealth mechanics that weren't anything like TLoU.

For those completely valid reasons, I personally felt Uncharted 4 was a massive disappointment.

Laughable that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is on this list. Easily the best game of the year for me and one of the best games ever made. A cinematic and technical marvel with amazing production values, fantastic dialog and acting, exiting narrative, Great musicalscore and rock solid gameplay that blends action/puzzles/exploration in perfect harmony. You feel that you're on a grand adventure and is an experience every ps4 owner should play.

Uncharted is a game that is with as for good 6-7 years and there is nit much you can change when you have a story that you need to follow. Anyway for me quantum break let me down cause it was way to short but cool game concept that actually worked. No mans sky was probably my biggest disappointment along with street fighter 5 and the division.

OK I have no problem with number 10 to 9 but do seem to have a we need hits vibe with number #1.

The reasoning with the story or storytelling is irrelevant because it's subjective to everybody.
Uncharted isn't Tlou and I don't want it to be a clone in storytelling. I like Indiana Jones and I feel that the Uncharted pay homage to this by making the story similar as Nate could probably nuke the fridge like Indiana and survive the ordeal.
So for me the story was incredible.

Now the rest is text book Uncharted formula meaning that is good solid gameplay.

In the end Yes Uncharted 4 isn't the holy grail like some ppl would like us to believe but it's far from a disappointment.(No man's sky wins here).

Uncharted 4 was great. Easily my favorite of the series alongside Uncharted 2. Definitely not disappointing.

Now Uncharted 3... That was disappointing. (For me anyways. I have a few friends who thought it was the best game of the series)
