If you can't snag a NES Classic, try a mini Sega Genesis for cheaper instead

It's understandably frustrating that the NES Classic is nowhere to be found a few weeks before Christmas. If you're open to the idea of playing some other retro era games though, you may want to check out this sale on the equally small and cute Sega Genesis Classic.

no, it's not. the ATGames units have poor sound quality and are not made by sega at all. They are cheap for a reason and that is overall quality is very poor.

trust me... i have one and it sucks lol. the video has interference and the "wireless controllers" absolutly suck... they will not even register unless you are holding them perfectly level and pointed at the ir device on the console. not to mention 99% of the games are terrible puzzle games

yes... the controllers suck.. the plus is that you can use original controllers if you have them. but again the video is crap quality

I wasn't able to get a nes mini. But now the hype has died down for me. I'll just wait to see if the switch supports the old games thru download and go that route. In my case it's Nintendos loss cause I probably wouldve bought both.

I bought one mostly for the sonic games and I swear you used to be able to charged a boost by pressing down and any button but that seems to be missing in these game versions. I could be mistaken but it's kind of a problem.

EDIT: Also the controllers don't work unless they are close and in the line-of-sight of the "console" and feel very cheap. Good for kids to mess around on I imagine, hard for me to get into personally.

In Sonic 2 and 3 if you held down and then the jump button you would spin dash. If you can't get it to work it sounds like they messed the game up in emulation.
