7 reasons to return to No Man’s Sky

Base building, freighter flying and resource farming expand upon an already enormous universe.

xDealtwithIt3130d ago

The begging to return to this game is hilarious. Especially how a lot of articles trashed this game before hand. But release one update and all is forgiven? No way.

Razzer3130d ago

Why are you so obsessed with a game you never played?

xDealtwithIt3130d ago

Why do you care? And where did i ever say i never played this game?

Retroman3130d ago (Edited 3130d ago )

I Haven't played the game. But, Before i buy any game i read reviews, watch video's make my decision. Sean Murray planted Bad seed in gamers Consciousness it will be hard to think NMS in any other way than as it is " Disappointing " when any game lit Internet on fire with Hate it got to be Bad.

Bashing people , Disagreeing with someone opinion not going to change the damage already done. NMS will go down in History as the Most fraudulent , lied, hyped game ever.

@gt67

See this is the problem with reading things and taking it as law without investigating the issue clearly for yourself, to give you a reverse example, for citizens in North Korea (not all but most) the Great Leader will go down as the greatest person in history, but outside of their little closed in propaganda bubble, we know the "great leaders" of North Korea are the most fraudulent, lied and hyped cunts on the planet, ever. (maybe not EVER, but I'm being silly with words here).

Just because you seen a lot of hate about NMS and "lies" from sean murray doesnt mean there were any. In fact all that was missing from the release of the game were sand dunes and space battles. Everything else they "lied" about was in the game, its just massive and procedural and you werent going to see it all within the first month. Some of the things even listed as "missing" were still there, its just initally they were using their own periodic table and then somewhere in the last few months switched back to real world elements. This is what happens when people who only started paying attention to the game 2 months before it comes out lead the hateful bandwagon. But they're so damn loud its all anyone even hears.

Worse crimes have been commited in gaming and honestly the fallout was never as intense as it was for HG (maybe phil fish got it jsut as bad), this was almost like a witch hunt.

Its a trend I've noticed in gaming since social media sites like twitter became common use. Though the big AAA machines are usually the ones making the biggest mistakes and telling the boldest lies, they rarely suffer for it. It's hard to take on a big company like that, even with all your internet friends. However, when something goes awry on the indie side of things, people know they can be seen and heard by the tiny few passionate people involved in their artistic endeavour, and they lynch mob them, because they know they can get to them, because they can't afford an army of rabid lawyers or a top class PR firm that can spin all the shit away into neat little piles.

It's weird, public shaming and "social justice" used to be about going after the big monopolies and companies, I guess they hit a brick wall at some point because now we all just seem to be going after eachother in terms of seeking some sort of inane revenge over the internet for a subject that doesn't even effect us remotely, we just want to feel a part of something?

Jesus, did not intend to go in to that, not sleeping in 48 hours will do that I guess, well beyond delirious :) Dunno if I even made sense or stuck to a concise topic or train of thought. Oh well... CLICK!

It's called "Media Narrative". Whatever is popular in the lexicon, the mass media will go with it. If it's "lets all hate HG" then the media will look for stories or quotes to twist to that narrative. If it's "Everyone loves the new update" then they'll switch it around. One of the most recent toxic examples of tabloid journalism seeping in to gaming journalism i've witnessed lately is a little show called "The Know". It's like a glossy celeb magazine for video games, but in video form. Scary stuff.

And I don't think anyones begging anyone to return to anything? In fact (p.s, not an actual fact, just a satirical hyperbolic one), I don't think Hello Games want the people who totally misunderstood their game and rage quit all over the internet like a jilted Ex, back in their universe. It's better without em :)

The negative crap people keep spouting for this game is hilarious!

You didn't like it, move along....

"Let's see this same comment in other particular threads from you."

Sure, point me to an article where I posted unnecessary negative stuff and I will correct it...

No Man's Sky (Switch 2) - Hello Games' Classic Without Cuts Or Concessions | NintendoLife

"No Man's Sky - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition brings this excellent, constantly evolving space survival adventure to your new Nintendo console in fine style. This is an almost-perfect match for other versions of the game, barring some very minor hiccups here and there.

Combat is still a bit naff, especially in space, and hardcore pirates might not get all they need from the systems in place here, but other than that, this is an almost perfect port of an almighty behemoth of a game. The sky, it seems, really has no limits." - PJ O'Reilly | NintendoLife

I am tempted to get the switch 1 version.

OtterX17d ago

Do it! It's still on sale until next week, then score your free upgrade.

It's so nice being able to continue our save from other platforms while on the go. (For me, PS5, PC & VR) I'm headed out of town this weekend and I plan on taking it with me. :)

That's a nice little surprise.

Honestly I gotta hand it to Hello Games. They really turned this game into something else with their dedication to it. A rocky start, but the game is unrecognizable to what we had at launch.
