Man O' War Corsair gets two free DLC packs as thank you to Community
I was rather surprised when I first heard a video game based on the old Games Workshop Man o’ War naval battle tabletop game was being developed. After all, it’s a mostly forgotten game, discontinued many years ago after only a short lifespan, only a small cult fanbase keeping memories alive. But despite the obscure source material the concept has a wealth of potential and with the resurgence of quality Warhammer universe based Video Games, can Man o’ War: Corsair compare?
"It was always built with a controller in mind," James Carroll tells Gamereactor of the recently released game based on the Games Workshop IP.
One of the problems with adapting old board-games, as Evil Twin Artworks is currently doing with Man O' War: Corsair, is that you have to take a bunch of tiny plastic figures and convert them into actual-scale working models.
That's especially tricky when you're working in the Warhammer universe, where naval vessels are actual floating castles complete with rampart and crenelations.
