Alien Isolation Deserves a Sequel

I second that. I hope SEGA revive it, but make sure they learn from all the mistakes of the first game. First thing would be to go for a "less is more" approach when it comes to game length. I'd also love to see asymmetric multiplayer a la Dead Space 3.

This was one of those "great games that you couldnt get into" for me. Sold well and was praised by critics and gamers so a sequel would be nice. Maybe it can do something to draw me back in.

I bought during a flash sale the same month it released for 50% off. Haven't played more than an hour of it. I need to try again.

It takes more than that to get to the alien itself. You're not alone in having trouble getting through it; if you look at the achievement stats, they drop off sharply after you start getting hunted by the alien. The medlab mission in particular (number 5) is tough for newbies, but once you're through that you've learned enough to get through the rest.

It's not a power fantasy like lots of games, but it is rewarding if you get into it.

That was te joke though. Since it is based in the same universe as the Alien films, it tried to replicate the same look of the technology used in the films. I thought that was a great little touch. It left the game with a funny sort of retro, but futuristic, feel.

Have to raise the tension.. it's not like they can do a Dark Souls and have you lose something when you die, they only currency they really have is in game progress.

They made you lose a lot of progress once you die which Is frustrating. And you get one shotted by aliens a lot In this game.

The trick was occasional backtracking and trying to estimate when certain things were likely to happen so you were prepared when things go wrong. Loads of memorising save point and checking the map, yeah.. But I enjoyed that. They could definitely streamline it though.

Man it is a great and atmospheric game and a sequel would be great, if they continued the path with which the first one went and not on the more action packed one that so many make the mistake of going down. I would also think it would translate well into the VR world.

Be great as a co op game maybe helping each other open doors being far away from each other. Always enjoyed the Resident Evil Coop too.

Maybe have a tiny team but become very weak when being challenged by an alien like the movies.
