Gears Of War 4 Season Farce

Adam writes "I want to love Gears of War 4. I want to praise it to high heaven, and tell everyone everywhere how simply sumptuous the fourth instalment in the series is. I want to climb the tallest tower, perch myself upon the highest peak, and broadcast my love for this game from the biggest building. And I’d do it too, but I just can’t seem to scale my way up the infernal pay wall that is the store feature of Gears of War 4."

I'm loving Gears of War 4 so far, however, I am only about half way through the main campaign and haven't spent enough time online to judge that yet. Unless something major happens, it is probably my favorite game of the year.

optimus2725d ago

i finished it in just under 10 hrs and it was a dull campaign for the most part...I liked gears judgment better...i don't buy games for multiplayer but i did play a little of it and it was ok, nothing revolutionary. the whole thing can be considered gears 2.5...as it is i give it a 6/10

You don't buy games for multiplayer yet you bought one of the most MP heavy games on Xbox. I can't say I'm sorry for you lol. Your own fault.

@lennoxb...

you make no sense. it's my fault that i didn't find the campaign all that appealing?? um, i have all the other gears and didn't play multiplayer on those and i found the campaign in those quite enjoyable. i didn't compare it to multiplayer games in general I compared gears 4 to it's previous games so i stand by my statement...i have all the halos and i barely touched multiplayer in those as well so what's your point? games that are multiplayer ONLY like star wars battlefront and overwatch i tend to not buy so your criticism of my game preferences is invalid. I plan on returning gears 4 for titan fall 2 because i read the campaign in that is very good...so carry on.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN1h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

PassNextquestion3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger1h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto3h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos2h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

XiNatsuDragnel2h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos29m ago(Edited 28m ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator1h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H921h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg4h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos4h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well
