If Infinite Warfare sells way less than Advanced Warfare ( ignoring BLOPS 3), then Activision may take a break with franchise( like what Ubisoft did after Assassin Creed Syndicate under-performed compared to Unity.)

It won't though will it because of the Modern Warfare remaster bundle. If it was a solo release then maybe it would, but nevertheless it would still sell. Similar to other regurgitated games like FIFA (albeit FIFA does make alterations, especially this year)

The difference isn't just the COD4 bundle. It seems they really pulled out the stops to give it a good campaign considering the setting. I hope it does well and the rumors for the next COD are true and that happens next fall.

I've bought CoD year in and year out since Modern Warfare. However, this year it's a no-no for me and I have opted for Titanfall 2. I am extremely tired of the series, maybe others will feel the same but it will still make sales...and no I wouldn't be mad.

I'm kinda the reverse, Last game I bought that I really enjoyed was MW3. Passed on Ghosts, BO2 and B03 after renting them.
AW was just meh, but looking forward to IW mostly for the SP, if the MP is good great if not I'll just play the MW remaster along with B1, and Titanfall2.

What do you think this is, Medal of Honor? A large community still enjoys the franchise, so there's no reason to pull the plug.

You might as well ask EA to stop producing Battlefield, Madden or FIFA, for Sony to stop producing MLB The Show, or for Konami to stop producing PES

Its time for them to get rid of the jumping jetpack/wall running and stop making it so futuristic. This will be the 10th game since COD4:MW if they were going to take a break or give it up they would have done so awhile ago. They will keep pumping it out as long as there is a demand for it and they are not losing money in development costs. They may never hit the heights of popularity they had but I don't see the series going anywhere any time soon.

It's time for Activision to listen to fans and go back to boots on the ground, world war or modern day shooter. The games were doing fine up until Advanced Warfare. Yeah Ghosts wasn't great but that game aside, the rest were fine albeit a bit samey each year.

No, people are still making this game a 500million dollar/billion dollar product. If I owned the IP i'll milk it just like Activision, if idiots want to continue to support this game then i'll continue to sell the same paper towel brand in different wrappers. The only way the will "quit" is if someone is able to do to them what 2k did to EA regarding NBA Live, or what other racing games did to NFS series. They won't take a step back until there is clearly a superior product. No-one is able to do what COD does as good as COD. I don't like the game, but when it comes to this arcade FPS experience, who has it down like Activision? I hate when people compare BF to COD, that's like comparing Futball to Basketball, it's two totally different things, because they are shooters don't make them comparable.

It's not about money silly rabbit, nothing ever is u should never make it about the money that's when u do anything just like the cod franchise is doing, u total missed the whole point of the article.

Cod lost its quality and relevance by releasing the same game every year people are bored of it now that's why sales are declining. EVENTUALLY the game will fall because of saturation kinda like how halo fell off. I think call of duty needs a brake let people miss it so when it does come back it will be bigger better with fresher ideas. U played one cod game you've played them all.

Also I'm tires if the small maps with no breathing room, quick scoping, one shit kill from the snipers, joke of a hit detection, unbalanced gameplay, lying kill cams, the ridiculous 7 feet in the air jumping, jets packs,corny weapons and dlc. The game is brown at best. AT least fox those problems and give us dedicated servers. The last good cod game I played is black ops the first one.

Now their trying to copy bf which is a better franchise (online wise) they should take a page out of battlefield's page and make a more stable and realistic approach and tight game gameplay. bf1 isn't successful because it's in a world war setting it's successful because it's a great franchise that took its time to prove itself that it as always better and provided more than cod. Call of duty going back to world war won't help sales. A long it's and better gameplay will nuff said. I'LL see u losers on the bf1 servers. Enjoy your yearly cod.

i have pre ordered and went to every midnight release for COD since 2007 since i was 17. I played the hell out of the new beta trying to enjoy it and really couldn't. I went to gamestop the new day and immediately cancelled my preorder. I really want to play MW remastered but IW really really makes it not worth it for me.
