Thumper Review – PlayStation 4/PlayStation VR - ThisGenGaming

"PlayStation VR is here and with it comes a pretty robust lineup of launch titles. You got racing games, shooters, puzzle games and “rhythm violence” games. Yes that last one refers to the game I’m reviewing here called Thumper."

This wasn't on my radar for PSVR. But after seeing all the reviews, I think I just might have to pick it up.

The demo is on the disc that came with the PSVR. Try it out. You'll buy it as soon as you're done.

TGGJustin3105d ago

Yep try the demo if you can and you'll probably see why so many of us love this game.

UK gamers should uninstall the psvr demo disc and download psvr demo, as it has the same demos as on the disc but with a few extra demos. Just be aware that its a pretty big download.

Robo Quest VR looks pretty slick with that fast gunplay.

Shadowgate VR looks good too, perhaps in the vein of elder scrolls.

thorstein43d ago

Shadowgate VR. Thought it might be connected to the old point and click game. But it still looks good.

darklaw42d ago

y'know, VR needs something can can only be achieved while in VR. Immersion isn't enough, it has to have a hook that is so cool that you would want to own one. Having the same games you could play on console doesnt warrant a purchase.

Babadook741d ago

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village and Gran Turismo 7 alone make it worth it for me. The difference VR makes is so large it more than doubles the enjoyment of these types of quality VR ports. So I disagree. I would love a future where all great 2d games got some kind of a hybrid port to VR.

PSVR2, PCVR, and Quest VR Are About to Have Some of Their Best Months for Games

Virtual Reality (VR) gamers will be eating well the next few months with what seems like solid titles releasing from now until December.

DaReapa190d ago (Edited 190d ago )

Has Hitman: World Of Assassination been confirmed for PCVR? If not, then this article is seriously misleading.

CrimsonIdol190d ago

It's confirmed on Steam VR yes. It's right there on the store page.

bigfish190d ago (Edited 190d ago )

I’ll have to put the dual sense down and pick up metro and alien vr to see me out till the end of the year. Good to see companies supporting psvr 2 .

Babadook7190d ago

Looks like a tremendous few months coming up. I won't be able to keep up with these.

UltimateOwnage190d ago

VR is really starting to flesh out recently. The hardware is finally getting accessible and with the quality it takes to deliver a compelling and immersive experience. Good times ahead. I hope Flat2VR Studios can bridge the gap with some excellent conversions as the industry matures.
