HPP: It’s been over 13 years since Red Faction, Volition’s first-person shooter PlayStation 2 and PC, made its way onto Germany’s “Index”, a list of media deemed harmful to young persons. Now, at long last, Volition's first-person shooter set on the dusty wastes of a martian work colony has been de-listed.
TheGamer Writes "No more nerdy or serious games set on the Red Planet, send me back to that destructive sandbox."
It would be a perfect time with the huge leap in cpu power these consoles have over previous generations
Yes please. Guerilla was a great game. The destruction in that game is still better than most. Maybe Volition can go back to it and let Saints Row rest for a while.
Yes! More players young and old need to play and respect the franchise that literally invented destructible environments!
Would love a REAL Red Faction 4 (the one Volition REALLY wanted to make and not Armageddon) or a Red Faction 1 remake.
DSOGaming writes: "Back in February 2019, we informed you about an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for the first Red Faction game. However, it appears that a new HD Texture Pack has appeared today. This new Texture Pack uses an improved AI-enhanced method to upscale the original textures, resulting in slightly better visuals."
IDK what this person is talking about in his instruction but all it does is extract MP maps lol.
Wouldn't mind a Remake of the first Red Faction game, I enjoyed that game quite a bit.
Red Faction 1 is an all time classic and the Geo Mod destruction system was way, way ahead of its time.
Ownership over several titles gets shuffled in THQ Nordic and Koch Media arrangement. Potential remasters, sequels, ports, and more on the horizon.
Both THQ and Koch Media are owned by the same larger company, the Embracer Group. I’m not sure why the publishing rights would need to be swapped.
I hope they release risen on switch It's a underrated game all so
The same things that are harmful could and probably are good for those persons. The truth is only bad when it is the truth.
Censorship is our only hope. Lets not allow free expression and fix our wickedness. /s SMH
Better late than never, I guess.
