Beyond Good and Evil 2 designer reveals that the long delay was mostly caused by technical issues that prevented the devs from finishing the game sooner.
During a livestream on his personal Twitch channel, Rob Wiethoff (who voices John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption series) hinted at "exciting news" to be revealed next week. According to Wiethoff, the news will be announced "before Friday".
PS5/Pro/Switch 2 version of RDR2 seems most likely. I’d love a RDR3 but that seems years away
Their contracts are iron clas if they leak anything legit they are threatened with immense legal action.
My hopes for what this is are minimal its probably a meet and greet with the cast
I dont see why they would be involved in a upgraded version of rdr2 when the dialogue hasn't changed
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 developers discuss the huge success of Space Marine 2 and its effect on the series as a whole.
I’ll get Space Marine 2 when it’s cheaper. I don’t pay more than half price for short games.
2026 will mark the 25th anniversary of Xbox, and Phil Spencer has teased it as a "really special year" for the games division.
They going to be a he best and biggest publisher on Xbox, Playstation and PC next year. They not really said anything about Switch 2 though spite claiming to be big supporters.
It will be, his net work will hit 50 million and he plans to buy a new mansion in Cape Cod. Thanks everyone! #failup
"Technical issues" huh. Now there's a funny way of saying "board of executives."
I'm much more interested in their explanation as to why a game confirmed to be in development in 2008 is now only in "pre-development" eight sodding years later.
Sure it was..... Sure....
But somehow, UbiSoft was able to iron out issues for other teams by releasing Assassin's Creed games, Rayman games, Watchdog games, ghost recon games, rainbow six games, etc. Somehow, just an overflow of them while we waited and waited for BG&E2 that never came. Nothing to do with sales compared to other franchises like splinter cell? Right.
The first game came out 13 years ago this November. I passed the game on to someone who was 5 and he loved it and played it multiple times. He is now going to be 18 and he now plays The Division. Another UbiSoft game that seems to have overcome technical issues to be released.
Don't believe that for a minute. I still want the game but d@mn!
So sad.
Technical Issues? I don't think that has stopped Ubisoft before from releasing a game. And they still hold all rights over Beyond Good and Evil so they will decide anything. It's pretty much Ubisoft's Final Fantasy VII, except a sequel rather a remake. I don't believe anything from Ubisoft or the devs until we get some HARD conclusive confirmation with gameplay. Why hype a game that doesn't exist in the first place?
Looking forward to the day it DOES release, but until then. Ubisoft. Please shut up about it. Either make it or don't. Don't tease fans >_>
Technical Issues? Pfft, yeah right.
What really happened is that Ubisoft lost faith in the game, and Nintendo stepped in to fund it, securing it as an NX exclusive.
