Rockstar Are Scary Powerful, Don't Worry About Red Dead Online & PC Petition

No doubt you’ve already heard that Rockstar Games have announced Red Dead Redemption 2, scheduled to release in Fall of 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One (which has already led to the creation of online petitions from PC gamers who feel wronged), and the internet is understandably hyped. It’s been 6 years since we’ve had …

All those other poor poor games...2017 will be nuts.

generic-user-name2737d ago

RDR2
Horizon
RE7
Zelda
Outlast 2
South Park
Crackdown 3
GT Sport
Mass Effect
God of War (Maybe)
Days Gone (Maybe)
And a bunch of others I can't think of right now.

Plus the NX will come out and Scorpio.

2017 will be amazing, barring any delays.

KingKelloggTheWH2736d ago

ARESWARLORD2736d ago

2017 will be the year that destroyed many a Gamers marriage and emptied their wallets Good Times ahead

INMATEofARKHAM2736d ago

I don't think it will be that bad! Lol

Perjoss2736d ago

For anyone who has not finished RDR there is a massive spoiler in this article, just thought I'd warn.

Perjoss2736d ago

I dont think that matters, you shouldn't spoil things like that with no warning.

generic-user-name2736d ago

Of course it matters, time is the only thing that matters when it comes to when things no longer need spoiler warnings. If it was only a year or 2 then sure, but 6?

KingKelloggTheWH2736d ago

I had that spoiled years ago T_T

WeaseL2736d ago (Edited 2736d ago )

I wouldn't supprise me if Sony & MS together pay RS to keep it off PC

Trekster_Gamer2736d ago

I hope they have a patch to take advantage of Scorpio.

generic-user-name2736d ago

Wouldn't be surprised to see it support both Pro and Scorpio.

Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

*Ubi takes gun, aims at foot, empties clip*

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.

roadkillers16h ago

It's a business tho..TakeTwo has 11,600 people, which means they let go around 600 people. There was probably a lot if bloat, but did anyone report about TakeTwo giving any "stimulus" to the employees laid off?

$35 million is being spent on severance pay. That's roughly $58,000 per employee, which probably includes continued benefits and pay after seperation. Can we get more of a report on how TakeTwo is supporting those let go?

roadkillers15h ago

^ That's if the averages worked out. We don't know if its like that or if a big shot got $30 million while others got dirt...

That's why we need journalists to dig in instead of these shallow news reports.

ConsoleAgnostic14h ago

Severance is great but the problem is the industry is experiencing layoffs all over, which makes it very hard for a lot of these people to get back into a job. The issue is these companies are expecting higher revenue every year, and when they have a year where they make the same amount or a little bit less all hell breaks loose. The only silver lining I'm seeing here is that a lot of these people will go on to create smaller indie studios and hopefully create something.

jwillj2k416h ago

There should be a law that says you can’t get rid of employees just for profits without executives taking a x % pay cut first. Encourage them to figure something else out.

redknight8015h ago

100% agree! I understand layoffs are a necessity sometimes but in addition to that, yeah, the CEO should not have their bonuses paid out that year; at the very minimum.

jwillj2k415h ago

Anyone who disagrees hasn’t felt the turmoil of being laid off.

blacktiger15h ago

They haven't even released the game, previous game made 10000% percent profits and then layoff?

Relientk7714h ago

Should be canceling the casino simulator sports games, but I know it's not them. It better not affect BioShock 4 and the Borderlands games

This is why we can't have nice things.

1nsomniac1d 11h ago

Been keeping my eye on this game for a while but never took the plunge and bought it because it seems to get a lot of stick from the community that the devs are all talk and no action. They’ve been promising an awful lot but not actually releasing anything new so maybe an easy way out??

Fishy Fingers1d 8h ago

Game is great, "very positive" from the Steam community and currently 33% off.

Reads like youre talking about a completely different game.

Profchaos1d 8h ago (Edited 1d 8h ago )

Guess they weren't ready.

It does suck though to see all your hard work be dumped out there like that hopefully the studio recovers
