Amazon opens preorders for Red Dead Redemption 2

Amazon has opened preorders for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2.

I'll wait with pre-ordering until it's closer to release and shops are showing actual prices...

Red Dead as overhyped as Fallout. It's overrated. Don't preorder.

I don't know about how it works where you live, but the MSRP in Europe is €69.99 for every base game and that is what they are priced at in digital stores.
Physically however they are being sold between €45 and €55 and the webshops selling them aren't setting the actual price THEY are selling it for until it's closer to release. Before that they can have a higher price mentioned as well.
To find out which webshop is the cheapest I use a site called budgetgaming.nl, so yes, it will be cheaper for me to wait closer to release before even pre-ordering....

You're a tool if you pre-ordered the game without even seeing a single screenshot or trailer.
Then there's the inevitable delays....

Its a Rockstar game, I've loved all their games since GTA 1, yes the 2D top down one. Besides, if for some crazy reason I decide I dont want the game anymore I can always cancel the preorder.

But sure pre orders are dumb, if its a game from any other dev apart from maybe Blizzard too I would wait for review scores first.

Loads have crazy think I'll wait for a collectors edition to be announced bound to after success of last game. If it's any good I'll be grabbing that, besides price will drop nearer the time as most places are probably going high end on pre order prices.
